@Sonja Hooper This castle has an other alias. The notices you saw where warnings. It said you could get fined and risk a jail sentence.

It's a late early 20th century reproduction of a 18th century Loire valley chateau. This particular "castle" which is actually a "chateau" (cupolas) is on a plain partial of land and is situated with no reasonable purpose ( vinyards, strategic, hunting...). The heating is early 20th, the interior bland and cliche, the furnishings are modern and replicas of 19th century furniture. The papers used on the walls are without any purpose with relation to the decor on the floor . The library is an absolute travesty of a reproduction of a 18th century library, the sitting room again repeat of the library ... I'll stop there because the next is the garage/stables with 20th century bicycles. So the location and name are probably moot.

No worries... I'm a huge fan of the Loire Valley Chateaus and this was a decent copy but obviously was abandoned for one reason or another. They did try though.

This place needs a lot of love. But i’ve heard it got sold recently so maybe it will finally get restored an be lived in.
