Karli sucked, the action felt kind of bland, Falcon was way too understanding towards Karli. Bucky Barnes felt like a side character even though he’s supposed to be a main character. I think it’s a solid 6/10

The final episode was unsatisfying when it came to Bucky, Walker, Karli, and even Carter, but with Sam (Captain America), it was amazing and there was very great emotional moment between him and Isaiah Bradley. Too bad the moment between Bucky and the old man wasn’t given enough time for a true heart to heart, which was a disappointment.

I think that was the strongest and weakest point of their plot. You know, while many marvel movies deal openly with heavy topics such as morality, what being a superhero means, the dangers of good people that just can't control their powers and many more interesting topics, we always had this kind of escape, you know, we'd go climbing and climbing for a deeper emotional climax while we were fighting with "the big three" and jokes, so it allowed us to not feel so pressured by their emotional stuff, but now, it only had the supersoldiers, and now they were motivated by deep human needs and complaints, not some crazy hydra shit or nationalism (the series touches it a lot though) so it was interesting because we had someone kind of new at the table, but we also had the possibility to overwhelm viewers with too much human drama (for example, 13rw was too overwhelming and charged of drama, it barely allowed us to breath) so I think they kind of did justice - I wouldn't say they nailed it, but they somehow found a somehow balance between the drama of us human beings and letting us breath properly

The part were Isaiah Bradley was finally credited for what he did and got his own place in the museum and the falcon said "now nobody will forgot what you did for this country" and they shook hands and hugged as Isaiah was about to cry, I was about to cry to. @Boba fett at home Holy shit I just had an amazing idea. Thunderbolts vs. Young Avengers. Similar to how FATWS addresses the legacy of Captain America, a movie focusing on the clashing of two superhero teams over the legacy of the Avengers. With most of the original roster dead, retired, or focused on other adventures Thunderbolt Ross could potentially view the lack of avengers as not only a threat but an opportunity to envision the team as he always wanted. Meanwhile, the young avengers struggle with being taken seriously by the world, denied their place due to being younger and inexperienced. I mean all of the Young Avengers have pretty much been established already so I wouldn't be surprised if a movie or series isn't far off. Thunderbolts wouldn't be hard either. We have Ross, we have Goliath, and we have Zemo. U.S. Agent would probably make a nice fit, possibly Loki and more.

Its truly inspiring to finally have a good african American superhero in an important role like this. As much as I wish i could say that black panther did this it didnt. T'challa is a king of a mythical technologically advanced secret nation. He doesnt really embody the strugglw of African americans or black people worldwide. Sam wilson however does. Hes an ordinary man FROM THE AMERICAN SOUTH who became captain america. And then we have bucky there to detail a realistic case of someone struggling to overcome mental illness as well. The scenes where Sam is victim of racism feel so weird because in-universe, you wouldn't think he'd be treated like a nobody, you'd think he'd be treated like Barack Obama or something. He saved the world, there's no way people can't recognize him or he can't get money anywhere. I bet any company would love to sponsor a close friend of Steve Rogers and a member of the Avengers. With Bucky, it definitely felt more in line with the universe they're in, although I still have no clue how no one recognizes him either. I really liked how the flag smashers didn't seem to have any grand plan and their goals seemed to change every episode. It makes sense because at first it seemed like they just wanted to raise an army of regular people and super soldiers. Then things kept happening, the story kept moving, throwing that otherwise basic boring plan we've seen time and time again into disarray. Sam said it best. They were lead by a misguided girl. She was just as raw and real as any other character in the show and not just another "bad guy". She made plenty mistakes. She won sometimes. She was struggling with her own morality. Struggling with the weight of being seen as a leader to this revolution. Never giving herself enough time to rest and cope with the people and things she lost. It's even mentioned by one of her friends basically saying she needs to step back for a moment while they can and just mourn. They were just people. Not a purple buff alien from space with stones that could wipe out existence, not some mastermind with a grand plan to take over the world, not even a russian agent with a clever scheme to tear apart the Avengers. Flag Smashers were just people fighting for what they believed in. Mirroring Sam and Bucky, in some respects.

@3Rayfire
@3Rayfire 3 жыл бұрын
The overarching plot was that in the five years after the Decimation, there were so many people lost that the world's governments basically unified, kinda like the EU and people were able to move freely around the world. Countries were more than happy to have new people move in as those people could fill in the vacant jobs and help restart or sustain their economy. Then came the blip. Suddenly people are back in the places they were and there are now new people living where they used to live. With the restoration of the decimated, the world's governments were basically trying to restore the world to what it was before the Snap, restore the national borders, the old antagonisms, and most prominently move the citizens who had moved *back* to where they came from, by any means necessary. The FlagSmashers like the way the world was during the Decimation, a world with no borders no imagined divisions between humanity. They also opposed the methods that the GRC the Global Resettlement Council was going to use to restore those old borders. Like the World Security Council before it, the GRC while an official government agency wasn't necessarily operating via global consensus. These people were likely elected to their positions but before the Blip and are now utilizing their authority without really asking the rest of the world what they want, which is why Sam's speech at the end was so important.

This show had everything I wanted it to be. We got to see Bucky be a person and not a plot device for the first time since The First Avenger. We got to see Sam’s personal life and I loved to see it. We got to see John Walker’s descent into mania and his realization that he was wrong. Most importantly, we got to hear the story of Isaiah Bradley, which was as beautiful as it was heart shattering, and how that story helped shape Sam into Captain America. Sure, this show had a few problems, but it still got so much right. Another thing, Captain America as a character has ALWAYS been political. So, of course they would talk about race, the way the United States treats our veterans, and the erasing of black, brown, and asian history in this country. It makes me sad to see people say things like, “They took a character that had nothing to do with race and made race one of the defining things about him.” Yes. That’s the point of this show. To see the significance in that transfer of the shield from Steve to Sam. America hasn’t treated the black, brown, asian, and so many more communities with the same respect as a white man. That’s just a fact. THAT is why Sam becoming Captain America is so important, and I’m so happy that this show exists.

Maybe I misunderstand, but honestly dont think Captain America as a character has ever been meant to be Political. If anything I find the name Captain America brings to mind a very apolitical "brand" for lack of better term. It's what makes Sam taking up the moniker so interesting is that he as a black man has been let down in a lot of ways by the US. And for him to wrap himself in those stars and stripes is symbolic that Captain America is for ALL Americans. Captain America is a Soldier and Soldiers fight for everyone and dont fight for their own political beliefs or interests. Just my two cents.

@@seantylerfermin4927 His heart was in the right place. No one's arguing that. The problem is that anyone can point out a system's flaws and offer no solutions whatsoever, which is exactly how Sam acted in that speech. Telling your leaders to simply "do better" without suggesting a way to do so doesn't contribute anything to its improvement, doesn't help your argument, and doesn't reflect your capabilities as a leader yourself. Even if he had been completely on point with his criticisms and offered solutions, it's very out of line of him to come with that kind of lecture when he defends (though thankfully doesn't justify) straight-up terrorists like they're victims, to the point of insisting to stop calling them what they clearly are. It's true that the Flag Smashers suffered neglect under the relocation initiatives that sought to give the Snap victims their lives and possessions back, and that the sense of unity and solidarity between all nations that humanity has always sought to achieve was lost. But they wanted to revert the world to its state after the Snap by any means necessary for the selfish reason of taking back benefits and possessions that weren't theirs to begin with, not to defend anyone's rights. And blaming the governments for doing their job after an unprecedented universal event that they had no control over is just nonsensical. The Snap victims didn't ask to die, nor did they intend to ruin the survivors' lives by coming back and asking for what's rightfully theirs to be returned to them. And I say this as someone who very much enjoyed the show overall.

Bro Falcon is DEFINITELY not the first "broke" MCU character. Before becoming Ant-Man, Scott Lang has to resort to robbing a house because he can't hold down a minimum wage job at Baskin-Robbins. Before becoming an Avenger, Bruce Banner is constantly on the run and is literally a homeless person begging for pocket change. Wanda and Pietro are practically third class citizens before being taken in by Strucker. I feel like the Guardians are no millionaires, considering they're freelance workers relying on various jobs to make a living while all residing in a single, moderately sized ship. And they made it clear that before meeting Tony Stark, Peter Parker was a literal dumpster diver who’s highlight of the day was finding a used DVD player. How can you not like Thor Ragnarok and Avengers Infinity War? Ragnarok is hilarious and well crafted, with amazing costumes, set, and world designs. It conveys its humor almost perfectly and it still has its heartfelt moments. Taika Waititi really saved that trilogy. As for Infinity War, that movie is an amazing piece of art. The pacing, the feeling, the humor, the cinematography, even the main character being a villain were all perfectly crafted. It juggled so many different plot points and passed through them seamlessly, while still feeling like one conjoined movie. On top of that, it was a thrilling experience with one of the biggest crowd-goes-wild moments in any MCU movie to date, Thor arriving in Wakanda. This isn't to say either of these movies are perfect by any means, both have major flaws. At the end of the day, though, both of those movies are overall fundamentally amazing and also extremely entertaining.
