My first Fall gig (second best just below double-drummer @ Brighton 2014). What you don't get from the vid (I was back a bit) is during "Jerusalem" the sun set, in sync with the song, and gave a heavenly light-show behind them. Kim Deal came on after (Pixies headlined) and was as blown away as the rest of us.

Thanks for uploading. My first Fall gig was Reading 91..good gig, but I should have gone to this one. Wobbly bass aside (old vhs, not Steve's playing which is great as per), I've long felt the subdued intro is one of the best concert intro's ever (it's an early version of You Haven't Found it Yet).

You are absolutely right about how good the You Haven't Found It Yet intro is - I could do with another 10 minutes of that, better than the final album version.

Great version of "Arms Control Poseur" - I think I prefer it stripped down without the solo guitar over the verses. >:D ....Would LOVE to hear this with the Audio cleaned up a good bit!

Oh, just found it out. It was roadie Kevin Eldon on keyboards (from the Fall gigography)

(Not that Kevin Eldon). Other Kev doesn't make the Wiki list of Fall members at all, and Kevin Brady (providing searing violin half-way through) is an "Additional Member" on Wiki so he doesn't count either? 66 members my arse! 2nd best Fall gig I've seen.A crowd of 40,000.Yet 2/6th of the group don't count as members?

Tish Pish No, the keyist was Kevin Riddles. Used to play bass in Angel Witch, & was a roadie for Motörhead as well as The Fall.

Steve Hanley makes the same joke in The Big Midweek. Kevin had been drafted in at very short notice when Marcia and Martin Bramah were both sacked mid-tour.

I'm surprised they ALL don't look like scraggly abominable snowmen with wobbly cookie monster eyes. - considering how hard they were living at this time. - wiry wily and fierce....the way we like to see 'em! >:D
