Shall I say that the voice was deep; hollow; gelatinous; remote; unearthly; inhuman; disembodied?....so ancient that I trembled at the manifold signs of immemorial years.On every hand were the signs of neglect and decrepitude...But I do not fear him now, for I suspect that he has known horrors beyond my ken.

They could have at least gave him a bloody torch to read. I would say he could hardly see that book in the dark. His voice sounds like William Burroughs when he does the American accent. Someone should add some beats and remix this.

This is actually a great H.P. Lovecraft story. If you don't like M.E. Smith reading aloud you might still want to read it.
@maxinemckenzie60763 жыл бұрын
The odd bit of H.P that I can make out sounds great as read by M.E.S, a Cut-up, doubly bizarre. Yeah remix now. 👌 .

At last, i now understand, if only my teacher had been so eloquent and sober. Drink yourself fitter! If the Small Faces were still around you could do a bit of reading for them.

Mark E Smith speaks very clearly and eloquently compared to the folk of County Clair in Ireland. Luckily my Irish friend translated for me. Oddly, the later and drunker we all became, the easier it was to understand what was being said.🤩💎
