Hello, this is my take on the situation. Of course there will be those who disagree and that’s ok. That’s the beauty of opinions. Although if we can spread this video amongst a good amount of people and creators, that would be sick.

Hey bud, thought Id tune in and leave my 2 cents here from the perspective of "one of the big guys" even though I dont consider myself one tbh. I think over time the frustration within the community of the game barely changing from 12-18 has got to a point where the content we are making just became as stale as the game itself. Uninspired just like EAs improvements year after year. I have tried many many things over the years trying to change things up, creating content that was never done before and realised that the viewers have somewhat become the problem now as well due to creators adapting to what works on YTs algorithm. When you do something that is complex, intricate and requires an understanding of the concept of the series before starting to binge watch it people always comment " why dont you do the stuff you did already it was good enough, where is it?". Hey man, firstly I want to say thank you for the kind words. It's of course lovely to hear but let's just talk for real. I was once like yourself, brutally honest no matter who I upset or annoyed. I was angry at the lack of creativity at the top myself. Thing is it got me a reputation I think, quite rightly. My relationship with other creators fell to incredibly low levels. Few years later, keeping myself to myself I got a chance to meet up in Berlin with some of these guys and it was time to set it straight. I apologised and started to mend severely broken bridges. The trip gave me an opportunity to see how others worked, thought about content and there wasn't a definitive process for any of us. It was seeing the likes of Zwe, one of the most creative dudes make mistake after mistake in his intro. These guys are all human and even if some of their content doesn't speak to me, they're doing what they are happy doing. The real issue should be with the algorithm in my opinion. I don't want you to fall into the same trap I did man, slagging off folks for just doing their thing. ❤️ Much love, Curtis. Additional: I can't tell you how many times I've told DK to cut his vids down to 10-15 mins, his audience would widen imo but he's happy doing longer videos (maybe because it separates him from myself idk) but that guy has the most incredible work rate even though on the face of it, his content doesn't say that... Thanks for the shout man. Agree with a lot of the points. The KZfaq algorithm really favors giving more impressions to those who already have a big following. Which is a shame, because in a case like mine -- the impressions I do get are successful. Watch time is long, comments are super positive, and the like ratio is 99%. But my videos just don't get show as much, and those random impressions are my only chance for growth. It's a shame because I can't help but think that if myself or others got chance at more exposure, it would be a game changer for our channels. I get that's just the nature of the system here, but it can be incredibly disheartening

Admittedly, I got like this. Boring/not entertaining just to myself firstly. This was even 2-3 years ago but felt like I just had to keep doing FIFA. The lack of depth to changes to the mode makes it harder when you’ve only ever done a standard CM so that’s what your audience wants to see, that was me and I’m sure some others too. May be seen as more creative but I just never was a fan for forcing crazy experiments if I wasn’t into it. I just wanted to play through my Career’s. Now I just had to drop it completely because I’ve been not truly enjoying the game for too long.

Massive respect for speaking your opinion on the situation on the Career Mode scene and the bigger creators within it! I agree that some creators’ content has become stale, especially when some are making literally the same content now that they were making years ago. KZfaq content is constantly changing and some either don’t recognise that or don’t want to change along with it. I used to love watching the likes of MGH, MasterBucks and Chesnoid back in the day and now I don’t really watch any of them so much anymore (although I do tune in to Chesnoid’s streams because they’re not actually too bad). The lack of development to the game hasn’t helped this either tbf and the struggles to try and make different content on a new game when there’s nothing new about the game is tough but you’ve just got to roll with it and some of these bigger creators look like they don’t wanna leave their comfort zone. I was the same for a while before trying something different and it really worked and I got more views from it but factors out of my control caused the momentum to be lost and then I lost all motivation to play Fifa anymore.

I wanna thank you mate for giving RespectTheJeff, FletcherJet and Strawt the shout in this video, all 3 of them are the future of the career mode scene, and deserve 10x more than what they’ve got at the current time. Hopefully this sinking ship can be saved and the world will be able to discover just how good you, those 3 and many other career mode KZfaqrs are and are simply being out shadowed by the shit algorithm, and creators who don’t give a shit themselves.

thats the thing about mgh, i just dont have the time and patience to watch 40 mins a day, when i also have school, and other stuff. all these people need to do is: stop daily uploads, max 25 mins, etc

As a new career mode youtuber, I really feel like it’s a game mode that allows so much creativity and it’s being missed out on. Stuff like throwing out random scenarios to maybe make something a little different or trying to give the players you sign a narrative or a personality. I really wish EA had even a few more cutscenes so this would be easier. But even something as boring as a press conference is down to what you make it. In my series I love to use the conferences to add content to strange situations that might arise in a save or even just add a little humour. I really think there is still a potential in career mode KZfaq, you see it in BarfieBoy’s videos. He is excellent at giving the players some more personality even if it’s just through a nickname.

Brilliant video Max. Very well presented. Barfieboy is one of the very few CM channels I watch now, genuinely quality and watch every upload. Agree too that yourself and the guys in our community for me are all way better than MGH, MasterCucks etc. You may of noticed I don't upload CM as much now and this video is basically the reason why, plus tbf I prefer making IRL football stuff anyway.

I'm so glad you've made this video, honestly some of the career mode content I've seen from like the MasterBucks and MGH etc have just fully killed my perspective of the game , it makes me stay away from it so much. People like youself, Simplizy (dont remember his name), RespectTheJeff, Barfieboy, Docks and more are the people who actually make it interesting and watchable.

Cutzy it's the best rn imo. So original and the effort level is so high, lovely 10 minute episodes with 4 matches in each and little menu footage. Would highly recommend.

100 percent agree with you we need to make the smaller community of career mode bigger and better, I always used to go into search filters and went on the last hour search or the daily search just to find bangers, and yes I am sadly a ultimate team part time KZfaqr who is forced against its will to play ultimate team however career mode is enjoyable when I play it so I might step on the scene because of this video 👍

I think TBJZL still does really fun career modes, but yeah, I think it was just that there was a big community at the time but as they grew older and left, there wasn’t much people coming in to replace that big community. I have watched FIFA KZfaq since AA9Skillz and his FIFA 14 Newcastle United career mode. I can still remember how good Jackson Martinez was in that series. Now, he’s a Ultimate Team youtuber and bootlicks FIFA to maintain and to survive.

I love a lot of career mode KZfaqrs but to be honest I’ve only ever stuck with MGH with every career mode whilst also watching some of the others on the side. ChesnoidGaming is a good shout

If you want an idea to do something different, whether it is for a video or for your own sake, try to get to know your club. I've done a 3 season career mode with Barcelona (i havent been able to play for longer than 2 seasons in fifa 21) and what kept me going was getting to know the club. Using academy players, playing possession tactics 4-3-3 or Johan Cruyff's 3-4-3 and that was very fun. Another thing with that career mlde was that I made a document where I wrote down the plan and different goals for the season. Organizing your career mode can help keeping it alive.

New Career Mode KZfaqr here, who's just started out this year & this is a really class video mate, really enjoyed it - Really solid points throughout :) There does seem to feel like there is a bit of ceiling with Career Mode YT (which is a huge shame!) especially when starting out, which is why I think a lot of people stay clear of the game mode all together and move over to FUT, which also usually = More views, despite the game mode being terrible culture wise, and now is essentially pay to win in order to even do well. Career mode deffo needs more of a refresh from EA, but at least it has been getting some attention recently which is a positive step. As you say though, It's not all about the game & It is down to the creator to create and entertain the viewer... (storylines within the save, viewer interaction/involvement, memorable moments etc...) Regarding the new 'wave' of CM content creators, that's something I am really excited about if we as a community can make it happen! Lot's of amazing up and coming creators and hopefully with time they get their moment in the spotlight, as it is fully deserved. Speaking as someone who is first of all just a football fan, has worked in the industry, and tries to keep things kind of realistic in my saves (not for everyone I know, as it is a game after all!) - But the fact those at the 'top' of Career Mode KZfaq don't tend to even have that much football knowledge or even do their research on players/teams and rely on clickbaity titles is frustrating as well. But it is what it is! Hopefully we see a shift in those at the top and the FIFA career mode community gets the coverage it deserves! Keep up the awesome work mate.

I absolutely agree with this. The lacklustre content of the more popular creators blocks out the creative, more entertaining smaller content creators. Not to mention also that the smaller guys also you could say put more work sometimes into their projects and videos! Docks & Barfie stay untouchable IMO!👍🏼

It's got to the point that CM content is just boring... the only "big" youtuber I watch is Docks. I came across Maqwell thanks to a shout out from FNG. And I kept watching him because his take on the save was totally different (fe: in his Leicester City CM he never sold Vardy, which is realistic). Most "big" youtubers just cash in older players calling them "dead wood" even if they are club legends or dressing room leaders, they make unrealistic signings and stupid pre-contracts. At this point I'm giving smaller creators a chance to see if I can find content that is entretaining. I love FIFA CM, even if is a mess, but I don't own a PS4/PS5 and my PC cannot support even FIFA 15/16. So my only chance is watching someone else playing. And I usually do that during lunch time at work, it helps me to relax. I know this is your take on things, which I agree... you need some courage to roast big youtubers and not getting hate from their fans or themselves. I don't know if it's much to ask, but I would love if you could stay humble even if you got successful one day... I noticed while watching your content that you think you deserve way more subs and exposition that you already have. Enjoy what you have and keep working hard... every +subs you get should be something to motivate you. Your style is unique and I really enjoy it. I realised while watching this video just how much career mode fell off. Back when you could get so many views off a part 1 of a series but as with the whole of KZfaq, the content has changed. I’ve been trying for a few months to try and break through and get one unique idea to blow but because all of these bigger creators just get bigger it’s difficult. Great video though and very nice to bring spotlight to smaller creators instead of KZfaq doing it. And you definitely deserve more subscribers than 20k like come on KZfaq there is so much shit on the trending page and maqwell hasn’t even gotten 1 massive video? Bullshit

I still really love to watch career mode videos! Especially RTG once when they take a lower division team to the campions league

Gotta say this mode is one of the few reasons I'd actually play FIFA. I remember having it on the DS, where you could create your own custom team with custom teammates that you could name & customize the stats of overall as well. Not to mention the cool transfers, and choosing which tournaments to play in so that you could even eventually play in the CL or promote. Overall it just seems like an incredibly fun experience. And with how advanced FIFA has gotten with some of the cooler "simulation-game-like" features, I'd really be interested if they expand on it more and more. Since it's both fun to build your own team across a season, but also some of the weird and wild "transfers" or matches that the game simulates. Borderline having their own seasonal stories behind why X club somehow got into the Champions League, or facing some small club with Messi in the FA cup etc. I just wish they'd focus so much more on this aspect over the god awful card opening fifa coin stuff.

BMOnus is one of the best! Always comes in hand when i need young and cheap player. If you focus on finding young talents, rather than buying expensive super stars, try something from hes pick, bielive me... you wont regret it.

I kinda recommend Flickiify. More gameplay with commentary and less talking about pointless stuff and his videos are only about 20 minutes long going trough half a season each episode! I like him atleast

I've just started doing career mode on yt with Southampton since I'm not amazing at fifa it gets more interesting and I tend to lose alot and rage it seems like the algorithm only benefits big KZfaqr tho

i've been watching fifa content since 2016, i was 12 at the time and i had just gotten fifa 17 and i fell in love with fifa and fifa youtbe. for craeer mode i watched chesnoid gaming, mgh, kizzlekicks sometimes masterbucks but i didn't like his constant raging all too much. for ultimate team i watched aa9, reev, aj3 and bateson. Nowadays i watch only chesnoid for career mode and aj3 for ultimate team. i think the reason for that is maybe i grew out of certain creators. but i know with aj3 and ches, i connected there i found content i thoroughly enjoyed and have stuck around. and during those 6 years i've seen how frustrated those 2 had gotten with how the deteriation of the game and effort put into it has effected the game and the content so much. but i think the few thousand or so that watch ches and the 10's of thousand that watch aj3, we'll stick with them no matter whetehr they change their content or not because we enjoy their personality on the screen. sometimes it's not about how the game is delivering content, sometimes and i think most importantly it's about how the creators deliver their content and what topics they bring up in videos. i feel like the videos that are all liek "fifa this fifa that" and don't add an aspect of real world to it are boring. like if a creator brings up something that happened the other day to them or starts just talking about a relatble/serious topic it helps me and i ould assume many others enjoy the content, adds some dynamic to an otherise dull game.

I agree with everything said here, my only worry is creators like Strawt and RespectTheJeff won't get the respect and subs they deserve simply because of the state of the game. Nobody's interested in the game anymore, let alone a dying mode where the top creators aren't even bothered anymore. People who aren't interested won't seek out smaller KZfaqrs since the state of the game makes it near impossible to watch content on it and enjoy it, which is why I enjoy content like yours, as you somehow make the least improved game mode in the history of FIFA over its period (where the features each year are ones which were removed for no reason, I'm predicting stadium customisation, kits, etc. soon tbh) tolerable.

Great video. MGH is not what he was earlier on. He's actually quite cringe and his content is definitely boring and samey these days. The Master Bucks just uses a bunch of clickbait and rehashes the same ideas over and over again. WestCoastKing is litteraly the best and possible the only actually decent Career Mode streamer left tbh.

I still think there's some good youtubers for career mode out there. I avidly watch people like Cutzy, Barfieboy and Flickify coz they keep it interesting in their own ways. Career mode challenges like rebuilds or mods are my least favourite type of career mode content as they're pretty run-of-the-mill and copy cutter

Coming back to this I find that the contents people watch nowadays tend to be more simplified and outlandish at the same time. Cani and Fardin0606 come to mind. Luck befell the latter more I guess, because his shorts most probably include somebody joining either Ajax or Real Sociedad. LOL

It's got so boring that I've tried doing the Be A Pro mode or whatever it's called. But you don't get offers when you start in League 2 half the time. Need a new company to make a football game ASAP

In my opinion Docks is the last big, true career mode KZfaqr. The rest just clickbait.

I’m going to offer my own two cents on this, I for one have been very frustrated with the way the career mode community has formulated itself with repetitive content, not enough voice for smaller creators, it sucks, but obviously at the same time we must realise it is not the creators fault but in fact the game. If the game offered more then for one the career mode community would be much bigger and the game would be more fun. It’s hard to gain motivation out of a game that hasn’t changed itself drastically in the past few years and I see myself slipping in and out of motivation for this damn game, I seem to have motivation to go through the recording processes when I’m having fun but then I slip out again, I will say KZfaq does a pretty shit job at filtering the best content and the algorithm mostly depends on who has more subscribers, but let’s be honest everybody knows that anyway. Hopefully my two cents helps other people form their own opinions and if they didn’t well hey I’m not trying to force my agenda onto anyone.

I feel the same way, when I started playing career mode in fifa 18, I watched lots of chesnoid, cani, docks, s2g, and also later in the game cycle around March I started watching barfieboy and he is the only one I watch now, back then his Arsenal career was so entertaining and his content even today is still as good if not better, I feel like he is one of the only versatile and creative people on career mode KZfaq and he is now getting well deserved credit.

Just nowadays, atleast in the category of RTG Career mode or Rebuilding career mode, everyone is just boring. The most hyped I ever was at watching a youtuber do his career mode is with DJ Wood with his Fifa 20 Forest Green RTG. That series was a proper Road To Glory career mode for me. Small club to a top club, homegrown wonderkid, bargain realistic signings, football moments in his series that also happens in real life which makes it immersive, etc. Nowadays I check out other youtubers like s2g, jarrad, bford, barfieboy, mgh, docks, cani, aa9skillz, masterbucks, and others and I just find them all boring or unentertaining or make unrealistic things. Not to discredit any of them but their content just isnt for me. I applaud Bmonus but he doesnt really do rtg stuff (atleast exclusively). I also like Cutzy but im not crazy about all youth career modes. Part of the fall should also be blamed at the game itself. There is not much to build or go around with what the game mode offers. Game is constantly broken year by year, not much content is added annually, lack of content aswell, it is not very promising.

One of the things that annoys me is the unrealistic transfers in CM. Are you starting your career with ManUtd? Cool, just don't buy Sancho or Mbappe. Stick with players with the same nationality as the club and give a chance to some young talents that are already in the club. Put some youth players in the team in Season 2 or 3. You don't need overpowered bench. If your average OVR is 86 keep the substitutes between 80-84. And when they grow enough, put them as regular starters or even sell them if you think they don't have a chance to be in the starting eleven, despite being very good (because the starter is someone very good or your favourite and etc.)Explore more players. Don't buy the same players every CM. Don't check up potentials and etc. from SoFifa. Rotate your players and start those who are in form, don't just look the overall. When you buy someone, explain to yourself why would he be a realistic addition to your squad. Put only youth players in your reserves if possible. You can make your CM entertaining if you choose to.
