I have to say the Minior and Rayquaza episode in Sun and Moon was a really good take on the cycle of life and death. Especially in the Pokemon world, cause you know that of course people and Pokemon have to move on. But how to convey that to the target demographic which is children? And Poipole's emotions to everything too was just heartbreaking.

Also I don’t think you mentioned this, but the minior shell looks like the shell Pokémon go into before bursting out in their mega evolution, just like how minior burst out of their shell

The single best shiny ever. Not only because black makes most things better, no but because it's the most unique one. Having the colors of all the other Minors, despite the normal Miniors all only having different colors of their main color.

Minior was one of my favorite flying Pokémon in Sun and Moon. Never got to use it but did train one to level 50. It was such a fun Pokémon

Rayquaza eating Minior would also explain why Deoxys has a some kind of hostile relationship with Rayquaza (with Deoxys potentially being a minior at full power as well or at least related to them). Considering the very likely Konpeito inspirations for minior and the connection to portugal of that sugar candy shown in this video I wouldn´t be surprised if Team Star likes to use Miniors in their teams.

I really hope Minior returns in Paldea's dex, its one of my favourite underrated pokemons, got an interesting typing, a nice ability gimmick but its locked to Alola dex! And Paldea is the perfect region for this one because Miniors are partialy based on Konpeito, a Japanese-PORTUGUESE candy! Get a load of this: "As konpeitō uses a lot of sugar, it was very rare and expensive as a result. In 1569, Luís Fróis, a *Portuguese* missionary, presented a glass flask of konpeitō to Oda Nobunaga in order to obtain the permit for mission work of Christianity." If Game Freak doesn't add Minior to Paldea Dex, consider this their most gigantic failure.

I honestly love Minior a lot. Such a cute and underrated 'mon, and probably my favorite Flying-type. I genuinely wish I was able to have one on my team. I hope they come back in a future game

How... so in a way, Minior might be part of the poke-universe's reincarnation cycle? Some souls take the 'easy' option and end up as ghost types when being reborn, others end up in the atmosphere for a quick jaunt as a minior?

If Minior is rare and based on candy, what are the chances Lockstin that Rare Candy are made from broken bits of Minior? I mean, Minior are known to die quickly on Earth, so maybe their body fragments are used to transfer infinity energy to other Pokémon.

As a Portuguese that loves Pokémon with my soul I loved to hear that Minior is inspired by candy and making of the candy was a portuguese technique.

One thing incredibly sad but I appreciate about minior is that it's also thematically represents Polynesian culture with travel and goodbyes. Just as how shooting stars are fleeting so are minior with most dying off after crash landing on earth. It's short lives symbolizing the connections of The Polynesians and the travel across the ocean (Skies in this case) separating them from eachother. Fleeting memories and goodbyes as they travel to other islands. It's sad but I love it's message and it's anime episode really sold the idea of cherishing friends that are only short lasting

I love so much about Minior. Such a cute and wonderful Pokémon. Sadly, I never really used one for an extended period of time. In both Sun and Ultra Sun, I used a Lycanroc on my team, which is available much earlier (and easier to use in battle) than Minior. And I can’t say no to my rock puppy. But maybe one day, Minior! I didn’t know the technique for making konpeito originated in Europe. And I enjoyed learning about Māori Star goddesses too!

This derby little thing became quite possibly my favorite rock type and one of my favorite flying types in a matter of minutes. I picked it up on whim in ultra moon and basically fell in love with it immediately.

Now that`s a very interesting theory. It made me think about the fact that Minior`s ability changes it`s stats, and even the animation of Mega Evolutions resemble a round shell being shattered

Around 3+ years ago I used to edit for Bulbapedia, particularly the Name and Origin sections for various Pokémon. I was the one who came up with the konpeito connection, I realized Minior was far too similar to the Lumas in Mario Galaxy to just be coincidence, and I remembered the same game had Star Bits so googling them lead me to learn what konpeito were, and that Minior matched perfectly. I know folks woulda figured that out anyway but man it is WEIRD whenever I come across a Pokemon video where someone says info that clearly came from an entry I added on Bulba like a million years ago. It feels bizarre, like when a video mentions Absol's name may come from the world absolve or that Alolan Ninetales might be based on "fox fires" being the name for auroras in Finnish, it's such an absurd feeling of this sort of detached deju vu. I've encountered it in a couple Lockstin videos now. I stopped editing for Bulba because fellow editors there were generally really obnoxious and irrational, and would remove legitimate insights for absurdly petty reasons. I forget what was the straw that broke the Numel's back. I think maybe it was for Luxray when I tried to add that the etymology for the word lynx comes from 'light', and they insisted it was irrelevant. I just gave up and left. >.> Edit: Oh also fun fact Cleffa's dex entries hint at a connection with Minior. I think they imply that Minior are the shooting stars Cleffa use to travel from the moon to the earth.

Wow, what a way for cultures to connect, Konpietō are very similar to a candy in Mexico my family loves whenever we visit, Colaciones. It's literally the same thing, only they might taste a little different, since Colaciones have the same coating an M&M or Nerds have, with a cilantro seed in the middle instead of Poppyseeds. I loved collecting the different colored Minior when I played Sun and Moon. So cute!!

I don't think Minior is intentionally related to gods. However, since I love Minior, I will let it slide. Also, Minior's shiny is not just black, but a darkened form of the original colors. You can see it through Pokémon Home. I know. I have a shiny one named Luma I intend to use. Also, in Gen 7, you can tell the color of a shiny Minior by breeding, as they don't change color for their children.

Golden Sun music...that's a nostalgia hit. Those games were (still are) my favorite Game Boy games.

I hope Minior returns someday, maybe in Scarlet and Violet since it's based on the Iberian Peninsula which includes Portugal, where the practice of making those candies was born then was brought to Japan which might have inspired Minior's design. This is just wishful thinking honestly, I just want Minior back because it's so unique and surprisingly strong.

I love how the only two pokemon in the ozone layer are THE GOD OF THE SKY, ABLE TO TAME THE POKIFACTIONS (pokemon version of personification) OF EARTH AND SEA, and a Small Meteor.

Shiny minior seems to be a reference to necrozma, as the black center and rainbow pattern seen in it's core is almost identical to necrozma's prism core seen in its alternate forms.

I always thought minior should have an evolution called 'mightior' that can use it's meteor trail to write in the sky, because the pen is 'mightior' than the sword!

I also found interesting that the shiny have some kind of a similar color scheme as necrozma. or even lusamine in S/M when she is absorbed by nihilego.

There is also the shell that forms around a Pokémon when it Mega Evolves that could connect it to Minior.

Fun fact, the Pleiades/Subaru constellation is might have one the oldest stories, as it is often referred to as seven women in some form in many areas all over the world. But looking at them now, there are six. One of them being “missing” is because two of the stars moved closer together and are no longer distinguishable to the naked eye. But this commonality means that the story behind it may be incredibly old.

I know it’s been a while since this video, but I have a weird theory. Why do curtain Pokémon mega evolve when others don’t? When AZ used the device to revive Floette and stop the war, the Pokémon who’s life force was used were the very ones that would later mega evolve. And Raqueza happened to be nearby when it ate some of the space particles that were effected by the laser, causing it to be able to mega evolve without a keystone.
