I believe it was Thomas Wolfe who coined the phrase “you can’t go home again”. Robert Frost said, home is where you go and they have to take you in. The mind is wondrous and powerful , watching your videos the smells and experiences of my childhood return. I am once again on a 1937 Allis, my grandfather’s pride and joy, spreading “gold” on the fields. I often think if we could require our leaders to sit on a tractor for hours, maybe they would be more judicious in their decisions. Thanks Pete, just keep bring those wonderful memories.

two comments Pete...first what your spreading on your fields is so much better than what's being spread in DC. Second I realize your operation is fairly small but I love all the work you do with 60-70 year old 2 wheel drive tractors. Not everyone needs a huge four wheel drive or track driven tractor. The work still gets done.

Those sure are some good sounds. You've inspired me to learn a little more about working on this old equipment. I honestly didn't realize how much I truly do enjoy it. I bought my first Farmall (a 1948 M) recently and I'm having the time of my life with that tractor. My son is really getting into it as well, which makes it that much more fun. PS: there's nothing cooler than when you throw the lever to switch from gas to diesel on the MD. I could watch that 1000 times!

Tell ya what Pete, that MD has got to be the prettiest sounding tractor I have ever heard work. It sounds better than it did before it dropped a valve last year. Im glad you restored it, and I think it is a special tractor, not just to you because it is a family heirloom, but to all of us who follow the channel. Many of us would have never seen or heard an MD work because they are so rare and expensive to work on, but it was worth it.
