With only a few days to go until Albert's parole hearing, Mickey decides to help him celebrate with something special, by tricking a judge, the last of the "old guard", into thinking that they can lead him to a fortune that was promised to him by a deceased criminal: a haul from a major bullion job. Apparently the crook had promised his share as a bribe to get himself a reduced sentence, and his partner supposedly took exception to it, for he died before revealing the location. The other, escaped prison several years later and soon committed suicide, and it is this person Mickey uses for the basis of the con. While it's on, Ash tries to teach Sean some important rules of the grifting game at a local casino. But unbeknown to the gang, as they work on their tasks, Albert is facing trouble from a ruthless new prison governor, who is determined to uncover any of the illegal activities he's been doing while in prison, so he that he won't be leaving anytime soon...
The Hustle focuses on a group of con artists who specialise in "long cons" - extended forms of deceptive frauds that require greater commitment, but offer higher rewards than simple confidence tricks.

I miss Stacey more than anyone, but Danny had his great moments, too. Plus I liked Billy and wish they'd kept that character around for much longer.

12 Negroes Tribes thought about that earlier - how I’d plan it is have Emma get back in the bag when she was done and Mickey would make an excuse that, since the mortician hadn’t been notified or vaccinated for the patient, the corpse would have to be taken elsewhere to a different morgue that was properly prepped for it.

I am on Christmas Day it's December 24th I love the show I kind of reminds me of Leverage which is a good American con and hustle show just imagine The Leverage team and the hustle team working together

Great job uploading in high quality as usual. Rare error in the show this episode. They must have cut out the line where Emma finds out it was 1996. Usually no inconsistencies in Hustle, so even simple ones jump out.

Are the writers different? This series has a diff vibe from series 1 to 4. I miss Stacie!! But i didnt like that Mickey wasn't around in series 4 :/. This new crew has a very diff dynamic.

There were new writers/directors/producers being brought in every season but it was initially Adrian Lester leaving that caused a shake-up. He had a scheduling conflict and felt the series was getting too light anyway. Once season 5 was greenlit he had some talks with the creators and they shook everything up. From Eddie's Bar to the fact Mickey drinks (in one episode of season 5 alone he is seen actually drinking more than in the entire season 1-3) and is more flirtatious. Incidentally most people seem to prefer the first 3 seasons yet ratings showed the last 4 were most popular.

When they play 3 card monty in the limo he should not have stopped playing but carried on He had already paid for the bet, so he would not lose any thing by continuing that he would not lose by giving up, and because he could eliminate the marked card he now had 50/50 chance on a bet paying out at 2:1

Emma jumped the gun by stating that "We weren't up on current events in 1996.." after just stating that she & Sean were ignorant of the events in question. If they didn't know about the bullion robbery in 1996 then how did she know what year it occurred before Ash and Mickey began explaining??

In the UK these episodes were 60 mins long, outside the UK they were 52 (something about BBC licensing). Bits were cut, in the original it's mentioned the raid was 1996.

Danny was definitely Marmite lol. Ironically even though Danny was meant to be the 'new kid' Marc is about 18 months older than Adrian.

The BBC love to throw the teddy out the pram when it comes to copyright so these 'cut' episodes are ones that were aired outside the UK and not on any BBC International channel.
