The Federal Probation and Pretrial Academy provides standardized training to all new Federal Probation and Pretrial officers. This video shows the various areas of training and the methods used to ensure that graduates are well-rounded officers ready to serve when they return to their home districts. Officers learn basic core tasks in both probation and pretrial, interpersonal skills and relationship building, investigative skills, self-defense, firearms safety, and moreover a six-week course.
