Background information
Recent extreme rainfall events across the UK have led several organisations to request regional recalibrations of the FEH13 model using more recent data. This webinar presents the UK-wide recalibration of the FEH13 rainfall depth-duration frequency (DDF) model - FEH22.
We will cover the significantly increased raingauge network data that were made available from across the UK, and the revised quality control process applied that involved regulatory review of notable rainfall events. The resulting changes in rainfall depth across a range of durations and return periods will be presented and discussed.
We will also cover access to FEH22 design rainfall via the recently updated FEH Web Service - and related updates for ReFH2. An open discussion on future development of the rainfall method and design storms will follow.
