Unfortunately in our society it is common for every attractive female to find a man who is no longer into her. Before I was married to my wife I remember someone telling me that monogamy was like eating my favorite flavor of ice cream everyday for the rest of my life. I've found that to be far from the truth. You have to work at it, but with open communication and respect it is possible to have a wonderful monogamous relationship. What that guy who gave me the ice cream advice forgot to mention is that there are many exciting ways to eat ice cream. Theres something called neuroplasticity... your brain adapts according to the parts you stimulate more. In other words, if you make it socially acceptable for the 50% of the population to show and express their emotions and restric and punish the other half, their frontal lobes will be more/less enlarged and developed.

Half of the male comments are like "Of course we're wired differently, dumb SJWs." And the others are "Scoff. How fwminazi of this movie. It's just portraying guys as big oafs." How about it's just a dumb Hollywood comedy that we all know holds no actual weight? Really doesn't seem interesting, and I'm sure they didn't actually research the science. I just clicked because I saw Sofia, but it doesn't look like it'll be a bit for plot reasons (maybe the cast though).

You're not being anti-feminist at all. I think that a lot of Feminist (well, the smart ones, anyway) would agree that this movie is sexist trash. Feminist have worked hard to dismantle the myth that men and women's brains are so astronomically different one another. Not saying that there aren't any differences at all, but not as much as lot of people love to obsess over. It's basically continuing the narrative that men and women are practically different species, which is bull shit. This whole thing is called "othering," which is having complete focus on the exaggerated differences of someone where, because you only see them as so different, that you end up dehumanizing them because they aren't exactly like you. It was done to Jews and blacks, and this movie shows that it's still going on when it comes to gender. So your analysis was on point. Nothing anti-feminist about it at all.

I must be alone in thinking it looks fun and unpretentious, its the first "funny movie" I've seen in years that isn't trying to punch some politically correct agenda down your throat, it dares go the complete opposite way with big fat exclamation points. I am a bit tired of the political agenda these days, force-feeding people the belief that biologically we are all exactly the same, down to the last atom. The ideology that we cannot make fun of anything anymore, that opening a door for a woman is sexist, being morbidly obese should be celebrated, genders doesn't exist, and that every movie should have a person from each race plus a homosexual, or these days, preferably a transexual since gay was so last year. This is coming from a mixed, bi woman by the way, so I don't hate any social groups or whatever. I believe in love for all and not taking everything too seriously. Even my gay friends are tired of seeing these topics being pushed in everything, especially where they don't belong at all, that one about Dumbledore being gay for example.

You cant generalize people like this in 2018. Theirs to many facts now that contradict this theory. They make a point of drawing a line between male and female thinking. But there isn't one, I use in equal parts a "MALE" and "FEMALE" mindset. It's not something I switch on and off its just instinct and theirs more people than just myself who think like this. This movie may have done alright in the 2000's but it is going to bomb in 2018 and unfortunately reinforce the views of the feminazis and male chauvinist who are the people most likely to see this film :(

What's new?! Like hundreds of US actors that have been successful in a TV series for a long time, and then they have to space their jobs for a while...or for ever. S. Vergara is great and funny for the role she is playing in Modern Family. On the other hand, this is the fate of many US actors. Only 2% of total actors are working. This is a very short life career. So enjoy it while you can and it lasts.

I'm probably one of the few people who appreciates her talent more than her assets. I don't think she's all that attractive, but I enjoy watching her act. :)
