In this video I review the weirdest solid body electric guitar in the Fender line-up. It kind of combines Fender, Gibson, and PRS into a mashup that delivers great versatility and utility while looking really good.
I bought mine at Sweetwater, who always gives me great service.

I stumbled across it looking for another tele. I was like, What the heck is this thing.. Spent a day seeing if any of the music shops near me had one. 2 days later I had the cherry burst ordered from Sweetwater. Really fun, versatile guitar. One of my favorite go-to guitars this past year.

Have the same Cherry Burst one. Very different animal than my Custom Shop Telecaster. I really like it.

Great video thanks for bringing some attention to this gem! After 2 years the only problems I have encountered are the tuners-to match the color scheme/black tint of the guitar the appropriate locking tuners are expensive. Then the electronics. No, not the pickups and such! The volume and tone knobs are loose and rattle and seem not level or plumb to the top. The input jack gets loose as well. Mine has narrow/tall frets which can make fretting chords high up the neck difficult, but you can really “dig in” on lead as the pros say!

I got it at $700 so all is fixed. And as you pointed out it’s the beautiful top, the mahogany, the set neck, and the pickups that make this guitar a gem. I’m surprised you don’t see more of these guitars-from local bar bands to music videos.

@@JrPfreedom The Neck is actually slightly thicker than a standard Fender Modern C, it feels great.

@@JrPfreedom well those ppl can go screw themselves... this is one of VERY few guitars ppl with small hands can try. dont take that away from us too. Large handed players got like the whole guitar market at their disposal.

My first fender and it's one of my favorite guitars. Amazing guitar. Price has increased $200 since I got it. What Amp are you using by the way?

It is a great guitar for sure. I’m running through a Marshall DSL40C, this is a great family of amps.

@@robertsguitarsandgear nice Amp! Knew it sounded familiar. If you ever have a hole to burn in your wallet, you could look into some profilers. Some like the Kemper have a great noise gate that will make your tones sound extra tight, especially for distortion!

I don't mean to be rude, but at your level of playing it may be unnecessary own more than one guitar. Also, the sound of the guitar doesn't really translate through what ever mic, or lack of, that you're using and ends up sounding a bit cruddy.
