Restless Guitarist I love mine. The frets do need to be dealt with out of the box, but once you get them cleaned up it plays beautifully.

It's the part where they're made in Indonesia. It's said that these are probably made by Cort, but there's no "Licensed by Fender for production by Cortek" marking on the back. I think it's similar to Mexico where they have their own factory there for making Fender-branded Indonesian guitars, versus Squire Indonesian guitars built by a ghost builder like Cortek. If that's not the case and they ARE made by Cort, I'd buy this guitar still. Cort is the best-quality ghost builder. They even have their own Cort-branded guitars that are held as better quality guitars. Will it be a PRS? Definitely not, but if you're not needing a PRS-tier product, an Indonesian guitar with a solid maple cap, this guitar really is a steal. It's actually Fender's "most popular guitar you've never heard of." Many retailers sell these and can't keep them in stock, but Fender spends $0 on marketing for it. I guess because they sell themselves, kinda like the Jason's Deli of guitars.

If it's a plastic knob just put a pick under it and pop it off , if it's a metal knob you need a certain Allen key

They look the wrong way around, judging by the pole piece distances, neck in bridge and vice versa.

25 1/2 - fender scale length. They are really good, especially if you buy them used. $400 or $450 for a very straight guitar with great pickups. I wish they came in Gibson scale, too.

I had a Squire Contemporary Strat, MIJ with a Gibson Scale neck. I liked it a lot, but the neck was twisted and it buzzed.

The Jim Adkins sig model, JA-90, is 24-3/4” scale.

Thanks, we used to vacation in ONT every Summer when I was a kid. We stopped around 82 so I remember it when it was Dominion Day and I knew it was really close to the 4th, but I was really young at the time.

bcrich581 Should never have changed the name. The day celebrates the founding of Canada as one Dominion. But it started out as a British dominion so I guess the name eventually had to go....

That's what I like to call them sometimes. Good strings though.
