My fav world cup memories were as a teenager during Italia 90. Man alive we rocked Italy to it's core but I have to say POZNAN Stadium on the 1st night of the Euro2012 championships was unbelievable. The moise in that stadium was awesome. I had goosebumps watching it so I can only imagine what the players were feeling b4 walking out. They were held for a bit in the tunnel aswell. Must have shocked them with the wall of noise from the Irish fans. Brilliant night even tho the result didn't go 4 us

Also when you bring up the subject of world war you must be forgetting that many Irishmen, thought under the British army during world war 1 and many Irishmen signed up during world war 2 to go and fight, so we had suffered as well and as I recall it, we had the biggest shipyard in the world back then so it was us the Irish who built all your ships at the time too and on several occasions you used us as your frontline battle troops just like how you did it with us against the native indians.

When we in Ireland think we are having things bad and complain because we are paying more tax, having bad weather, waiting 1 hour for a bus finding it hard to pay the rent, I think of people with nothing due to poverty or nothing due to oppression or nothing due to war and realize how well off we are.
