13:24 Watched this movie many times. Just now watching this review realized that the evil orb that turned to stone at the end looks just like out moon (seen in the distance). Could it be that this suggests that our moon was the first orb that was sent thousands of years prior?🤔

I'm always surprised Gary Oldman hates talking about this movie. You watch this you figure this is a case of an actor having the time of his life hamming it up.

They originally wanted prince to play Ruby Rose, he declined because he wanted to use his own wardrobe. Chris tucker nailed the audition but went to prince to ask for permission to take the role.

Ah yes, the film that made 'multipass' part of the general lexicon. Also possibly the most fabulous/ridiculous that Chris Tucker has ever looked.

one of a very few of my guilty pleasure endlessly rewatchable movies(T2, Shawshank redemption, Forest Gump -among couple dozen others) is this absolute masterpiece. Silly and uplifting, funny and heartwarming - Bruce was perfect for that role, young Mila fit into Liloo like a glove, not to mention cartoonishly evil Gary Oldman and ridiculously wierd Chris Tucker. Luc Besson puts out gems(this and professional) among garbage(Lucy) but all in his unique style!

I was 16 when this movie came out. I had just started my first real relationship with a girl and we decided to go and see this opening weekend. My eyes were glued to the screen so much that I didn't realize halfway through the movie my date had fallen asleep. I'll never know how she was able to do it but I was in love with this film from day one and still watch it yearly.

The Fifth Element is a bit of a strange movie, even for sci fi, but it is surprisingly good. Now and then there is talk about a possible sequel but I really have no idea how that would work (and odds are good it would be terrible) even if Bruce Willis hadn't retired.

This one is great because it goes all out as a Sci-Fi action hero movie (playing the heroes as both reluctant hero and ass kicker who is also a sort of damsel in distress), but it doesn't take itself too seriously. A big reason I don’t like movies now is because they make movies like this but played straight. They don't make fun, silly movies like this anymore. It had a few progressive angles, one rather odd. "Wow the powerful hero is a girl!" wasn't really a big deal anymore when this came out but Rhuby Rhod or however that's spelled was obviously the first live streaming trans influencer. And following Back to the Future it was another movie that used a black president as an indicator of what the future will look like. I was never clear if it was supposed to be dystopian and authoritarian or not though. You had pleasure cruises with Alien divas, but Korben Dallas' world was clearly modeled after the dystopian New York in the movie Heavy Metal.

Saw this in theater with my best friend. Became his favorite film. Man...I was more of a Starship Troopers kinda guy. We agreed on Alien Resurrection and Gattaca 😂. It was the big cheesy costumes, the hairstyles 😂Chris Tucker's dildo hair 😂Bruce Willis's character definitely ripped off Frank Miller's Hard-Boiled comic and Heavy Metal
