Hello - Is there any chance we could see a return/ some fight breakdown videos in the future? Used to enjoy those a lot in the earlier stages of the channel , but most of the content recently seems heavily focused on telling stories ( not necessarily a bad thing ). Just asking as a fan , no offense/finger pointing meant .

I've met Changpuek completely by chance while training in Thailand. I was walking around while i saw some thai guys sharing a meal, sitting on the ground on the roadside and one of them invited me to eat with them. It was hard to talk with them, but i told them i was here for training Muay thai and this was at this moment Changpuek told me "me too, when me young, muay thai!" and he asked my phone, so i gave him and he showed me his highlight on KZfaq, needless to say i was in shock... Few days later he went on a muay thai fight against a Russian guy, knocked him out cold... He was 50 years old if i remember correcly. Super nice and simple guy.

Seeing the Roufus fight made me eyes dazzle as a kid. Learning there was a Muay Thai school nearby a few years later cinched it. I trained for 5 years, went to a 5-1 amateur record, 4 KOs by knee or elbow, and then MMA until I blew my lead knee completely out on a sticky mat. But I still love watching and rooting the strikers on. There's nothing like a guy getting a surprise wake up Elbow between his meticulously placed blocking gloves.

damn. that must've hurt like hell. i broke my ankle last night from a lowkick because i didnt set the distance quite right. instead of striking with my shin i hit the bag with my ankle. and i didnt check, since i have it outside and its freezing cold, water got into it and it froze, so it was basically a big block of ice. and i hit it with my full power, the bag didnt even move but my ankle cracked.

Its worth noting that, he didnt use full Muay thai. So many rules and conditions to limit his potential. He's fighting against many bigger opponents with just 50% Muay thai or less. Its not a surprise why Muay Thai is probably the most popular standing style because it works and it's been proven countless times. If anything, so many styles nowadays look like Muay thai or even train like Muay thai.

yep, there are videos of an interview after that fight. making excuses for his brother getting blasted after the loss. They changed the rules to give advantage to RR and he was putting on a great show till Kiatsongrit lit up those legs. i still have this fight on video tape.probably wont play well lol but i always remember this as an eye opening fight cause back then under kick boxing rules, kicks had to be above the waste or they were illegal kicks and could get a penalty.

I think Changpuek not the best Muay Thai fighter. But he is the image of Muay Thai. He brave enough to out his comfort zone. 💪🏻💪🏻
