Damn...Abby's last comments to Lynn..I felt that. It's so true - when I see Lynn play, I'm like okay she's the best offensive player on the field. I think mentality is 100% what takes pure talent to that next level where a goal is actually scored. We're all rooting for you, Lynn. Can't wait to see how you put it together this summer.

This is my favorite episode! I absolutely LOVED how Abby uplifted Lynn. You can see how much that meant to her. How she talked about the kids being so talented and believing/having faith that they will figure it out was awesome. This is the role of a veteran. Constructive feedback and encouragement to progress. This was beautiful to see 😢. I also liked how they shut down the gross critique from their former comrade. It highlighted how gross it all was to just about everyone. Plus, it was amazing how Sammy explained how important Abby was to what the team was able to build. Give icons their flowers. Every joint supplies. What a difference in using your voice and influence to uplift the next generation rather than griping, avenging old vendettas.

On the topic of Abby being envious that Lynn and Sam "got it across the finish line" for equal pay, it really is like a relay race, with different runners doing each leg. Just because Sha'Carri Richardson got across the finish line for the win, she was only able to do that because Gabby Thomas and the other girls running the earlier legs of the race each did an awesome job for their run; so even though they didn't get across the finish line themselves, they still get the gold medal!!! So Abby should absolutely feel like she got it done as well.

I was in the crowd for the Thorns game. Yes, the rain was crazy, and I was soaked to the bone by the end of the game! Thank you for addressing the Krieger yellow card. I have gone back and re-watched that many times. I would love to see it from a different angle and I'm disappointed the ref didn't use the VAR. But, as you say, it's the refs call and ...it is what it is. The stadium sold-out and the atmosphere was ELECTRIC. Honestly, I have never been to a game where the fans get so fired up - it was awesome to be there! I'll be in attendance when y'all head to San Diego in a few days and I can't wait! Good luck to you Lynn and the Cats! CHOMP!

HAHAHA, I love the banter about wheelbarrel vs wheelbarrow - then I got to thinking, ya -why? So, I GTS, and copied it, so, here ya go - The term "wheelbarrow" is made of two words: "wheel" and "barrow." "Barrow" is a derivation of the Old English "barew" which was a device used for carrying loads. Love the show ladies and LOVE Abby! I also stopped the video of your show and went back and watched the 2011 goal Abby made against Brazil - as soon as it started playing, I remembered watching it back then. Good Luck, Nov 11

Regarding the record: Kristen Hamilton will be tied with Lynn in championship matches played assuming Lynn plays Sunday. Obviously Lynn rostered with KC last season but missed the match with injury

And Hope!!! Hope Solo was one of the 1st ones to start talking about equal pay!! Don’t forget about the Great US Goalkeeper…. She is honestly on another level than all the other goalies.

Hope Solo opposed the lawsuit that led to the equal pay CBA, and she called the CBA "unfair" for not including former players while Wambach said in her and Glennon's interview with Pinoe that she had received back-pay checks. She has done nothing but lie and insult current players as well as equal pay.

Abby has the right mindset regarding not talking bad about the team, unlike Carli. I remember downloading a Japanese website to watch the USWNT at the Algarve Cup. The women's game has come a long way.

32:44 dear abby, Don't think that the previous generation did not embody a smaller amount of Courage to fight for women's rights and equal pay, etc than Sam's generation. I think that everyone will see the previous generation Having loads of courage to go against this headwind of "women soccer is inferior" , "women don't deserve the men's salary", women just cant fill stadiums or generate revenue. It's big time courage to endeavor through all of that negativity and bring home a world cup. it's the courage to endure 15hr bus rides, synthetic turf, one room showers, hand me down kits, etc. Like Sam alluded to, Abby built the foundation, then the next generation had something solid to build an empire. Similar metaphor: if you do not build a Spring board then you can't jump very far to reach your goals. Abby, dont look at it as in you guys had more fear, while Sam's generation had more security/less fear. Don't be disappointed that your generation did not take the risk or the chance to speak up. Your role was to do the hard work and when the world cup and build up that foundation first. 💖

The older generation created the culture for the newer generation to be as strong as they are and get equal pay out the door. They set the foundation. This new generation just happens to be in the right era bc women sports and women in general are more respected than they were 10-30 yrs ago. And if ya'll didn't win in 2015, i don't think women's soccer would be anything near as what it is now. That 2015 win made the USWNT iconic. Same as the 99'rs but the market didnt exist then as it does now. But the USWNT team needs to win, or ur going to lose support as u saw the reaction in the last World Cup. Without winning, people will leave.

They're both great in their own right. I remember Lloyd mentioning in her memoir that she and Abby didn't get along very well off the pitch due to their extremely different personalities, but it didn't affect how they played on the pitch. I do need to read Abby's memoir- I heard that one is very good.
