questionable as their decisions may be, im just grateful theyre trying this hard and aren't leaving us in the dark and with a game that updates every couple of months like so many others

this is my favorite fps but embark are making some weird choices lately I'm worried

They need to focus more on optimization (I want to play at 144 fps, but I’m stuck at 90-120) and game breaking bugs like the “Med Beam Break”, the “Loading Screen of Death”, and the “connection issues”

Embark have definitely struggled to structure everything surrounding the game itself. Ranked modes, world tour, lack of communication overall. The game continues to be amazing but they're clearly trying to find their identity. No matter what I'm gonna keep putting my all into building the community! Looking forward to see how the competitive tournaments we're both running develop and grow!

Funny thing, they say they did work on game crashes. I never crashed before today and then crashed twice in an hour. As for the Terminal attack time change, after playing today, I don’t like it as much. The tense moments at the end with like a 1v2 are effectively destroyed. Here’s an example: Let’s say before the change it came down to a 1v2, if that happens to an attacker they have to find the key, take out anyone who may be watching it and get it to a terminal. So let’s say you had 30 seconds. By the time you get there everyone is healed and a battle can occur, and you can have time to get it to a cash out which leads to a 1v1 scenario. Now that same scenario would leave you with 10 seconds and you’re left bum rushing the enemies for any chance to win, but in turn the likelihood of the win is decreased drastically. The tension from the end of the match is lost. For that same scenario to happen you everything has to happen 20 seconds sooner and that just isn’t as feasible and this applies to being on the defenders rather than the attackers, except now your incentives to not fight because there is less time for a plant. It’s a team based, 1 life, 1 set of gadgets game mode. There is nothing but negatives to playing faster for the players. And just like that terminal attack has become worse. Don’t get me wrong, I understand. The majority of the community plays The Finals for the fast pace action, but that kind of game mode does not lend itself to being as fast pace as the other game modes in The Finals because you have one chance and making the time stricter is not going to bring cash out players over because that isn’t why they dislike it.

I had the UE5 crash issue for about a week. Was driving me crazy. If you’re running an AMD CPU, make sure Precision Boost Overdrive is turned on within bios. That’s what worked for me. Haven’t crashed since.

The main thing that can truly fix cashout is proximity if you leave your cashout from like a 30 meter radius it should run about the same concept like powershift if youre next to the box it cashes out faster if youre away or more people leave then it punishes people who 4th party and if more people out number the people within the radius then it should pause or extend the duration to punish people so then no 4th partiescause its easily punishable and keeps the same concept of the final round but im just yappin Added edit Since these are also cashout boxes you shouldnt be able to leave hence also adding a mechanic to fully send off the cash out box like interacting with a fully completed cashout for like 3 seconds can also kill third parties because 1 person has to be there at all times to finish the cashout as well as defend it so theres a riskbreward to each cashout you do just wanted ti add that as well

Great video man. This is a great take on the current update and state of the game. I too am worried about Embarks direction. The way I see it, Embark isnt catering towards casuals OR competitive players, which begs the question, who are they pleasing? Nexon? If Embark was making these changes for casuals you'd think they'd add more unlocks and progression for the casual player. The level 7 & 8 skins are worthless and your avg casual player will never hit Emerald or Ruby Rank. But competitive players hate them as well. So who exactly are we pleasing and what direction are we headed? In the meantime while Embark scrambles to find their identity, I will continue doing my best to make the game exciting and worthwhile! Thanks for all you do Thiixy! Cant wait for both our leagues to grow!

I’m honestly optimistic about next steps on the game, this emerald rank seems like a transition to getting Cashout back as ranked maybe on Season 4? Idk but I could also use a change to the regular ranked format you see on all games, and if Cashout gets reworked like they’ve been saying, WT has a ton of potencial to achieve this.

Came back after not clicking with the game season 1, I love terminal attack and power shift and got my friend group to play again too.

I still see world tour as a competitive game mode when I’m playing I still get that hype that I did last season it’s just not HHM anymore which is great. It still takes time to get gold 1 like u said it’s easy to get diamond but it takes longer for some. I was winning so many games I started making a win streak thing on my stream. I was getting 10+ win streaks in world tour and this obviously helped get gold 1

The TA new pace actually feels so much nicer, rate it's a really good change

As for ranked, I don’t really see an issue if they have 2 separate ranked modes. I don’t see why they don’t have a regular ranked for cash out like before. I think when twitch had that tournament for money it showed the flaws in making it competitive and instead of doubling down they wanted to push for The Finals to be on the world stage with teams playing and they back tracked. At the end of the day flaws or not they could easily have both and if one doesn’t make it there then cool. But forcing it on everyone for ranked is not the move. And that’s coming from someone who has played since it came out and now mainly plays terminal attack because I enjoy it. Love ya embark, but don’t force a change like this on your players because it doesn’t feel good.

The heavy grenade launcher is my fave weapon in the game, so I'm excited to see more consistency with its damage output

I believe that they removed ranked cashout temporarily to rework the game mode and prevent more of the third partying. Also, maybe they’re working on another ranked game mode like bank it and the rewards will be Saphire? Who know and can’t wait

One thing I’ll say is that you say the old system doesn’t really dictate skill, but I’d argue that the new TA has very little to do with skill as well. It doesn’t currently matter how well you do in ranked, if your team sucks then you’re going to lose rank. Heck I lost a game the other day where I went 21-8 and lost 1200 points off of it. It’s just completely arbitrary. Although I dunno I think TA itself is a bad way to gauge skill anyway. You aren’t rewarded very often for playing the objective or playing as a team. If you’re good enough to solo 2-3 people a round then you’ll likely just win a lot. If you can’t, then that’s too bad.

How does it work with emerald? It says "available for players that hit gold 1"... Do I have to grind to gold 1 BEFORE emerald releases? Or can I do it when it's here? How hard is it to get gold 1 atm (for some1 who hit diamond with ease in a week)?

4:46 its not necessarily that explosives hut thru walls but that people can clip thru walls and can take damage when pressed up crouched at the right angle, i have a clip saved where i shot someone with a sniper cuz i could see his cheeks thru the wall

People didn’t stop playing because there weren’t enough recolors of gem skins. They stopped playing due to constant crashes and disconnects. I still can’t play world tour without needing to reconnect repeatedly

They can get away with appealing to both casual and competitive players if they add content creation tools a la Fortnite. Think of how crazy custom maps would be. Even if it’s only on pc, even if it’s only through mods, this game has immaculate gameplay, limiting it to 4 game modes and official maps is a crime. The game feels a lot like old halo in terms of community, where there’s plenty of love for both casual and competitive players, it just lacks the custom maps and modes that made old halo what it was

As a player in Asia region, I kinda disagree that the game is casual. Man, they sweats a lot, especially those light users in Bank It and it's not even Ranked mode

this season was a straight up mess and adding another rank to world tour isnt gonna fix or do anything for the game cause world tour isnt competitive at all those ranks wont mean anything besides playtime, its cool for something new but we need embark to make bigger decisions then adding emerald rank to a casual mode. im not gonna glaze them for doing weekly updates just to get nothing burgers every patch, ill let this one slide cause theres atleast alot in it but nothing game changing besides the respawn time in cash out which is really weird imo. But they said they are in it for the long haul so guess we will see what s4 looks like.

Do you not enjoy sprinting into a gunfight and healing mid gunfight? Earlier in this video you said you weren’t the best player, let’s change that. Switch off of the turret and you’ll find your skill level sky rocket.

Yo, getting Diamond is no joke, man. I've been grinding every day, but the loss/gain ratio is messed up. You lose more than you win, and the ranking system makes it even harder. I keep getting matched up against teams of unranked players, except for one high-ranked player who totally dominates the match. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but the ranked system definitely needs some work.

Really dont understand why fps games wont make their rank gamemode competitive when they have a separate pubs mode?? Make pubs super casuall and make ranked super competitive and you can have the best of both worlds I swear to god its that simple. If Apex, a battle royale with crazy rng can be competitive, so can the Finals even more so if Embark fixes the cashout issues. This is really a filler season for me the ranked changes completely killed my will tk grind this game unfortunately.
