Fantastic. The best 2 hours I have ever spent watching a video tutorial. B&H Tutorials really are top notch and for me this is the best so far. So much relevant information with excellent examples gone through very thoroughly and at the right pace. I have just order Sean's book.

Thanks very much for this. While not a fan of 'surrealist' photography, this is one of the best tutorials on the use of layers in Photoshop that I've seen. I learned of more possibilities in this 100 minutes than in dozens of Scott Kelby presentations.

The argument of composite and HDR photos not being photography lives on! I thought photography was a form of art, and that art itself lets a person determine what the outcome of the artist's work elicits from himself. Oh well. The debate rages on; )

Sean Stanton You are correct! Photography IS a form of ART! There are MANY forms of art and photography, manipulating photos, and creating composites, collages, etc. IS A FORM OF ART! Only an IGNORANT being would think otherwise or negate this fact! So, I repeat, YOU ARE CORRECT!!!!!!

When I studied Photography I loved the work of " " I cannot remember his name but he was the best at adding images and altering the image in the darkroom. Pre-Digital :-) Help me out with the name, Please :-)

Jerry Uelsmann is probably who you are thinking about. He was a master manipulator of photographic images in the darkroom age. www.uelsmann.com/

Can't understand the hate for that kind if art, there is nothing wrong with photo composite as long as you don't claim it is a normal photo!

Some of the composites he did were not the best in terms of balanced lighting and realistic colours to match the scene. But good ideas.

am i the only one who thinks his composits are pretty bad? some of them look nice but most of them don't blend well, the color is kinda wrong as well as the saturation or brightness

Sorry guys, I struggled on for 41 minutes before giving up. Too many pauses and pictures with no commentary, a topic that has not been prepared well and it shows. Not a good advert for B&H sponsored lectures which are generally much slicker and attention grabbing.
