Well today we can, this is the BMW 218i M Sport Gran Coupe, the 'entry' into the new range and most likely the best selling variant of the new 2 GC. So lets take it for a spin to see what is what...

Coo-pay Coo-pay!:)I think I have the best model now 220d only 15 months old but no longer made , I get 65 mpg average on a run and a good bit of poke out of appx 190 hp, 8 speed auto Also ..

When doing these videos it would be good to hear the acceleration sound from inside and outside... less talking can have more impact !!

How is the audio system? And what are the options worth paying for? As in I drive technology. Also, what’s the fuel consumption in the city?

The Hifi-System ist around 350€ (Austrian Price) which is really good if you turn i up :) ; fuel consumption: in the first 2000 km is around 6.9 liters/km [with dct, driven with 90% sport mode around 2.000 rpm -> city, uphill at lest 15-20% and countryway and highway; the performance for city and countryway with a car with 140ps 3-cylinder (soft) turbo and 1450kg weight really good]. I also tested the mazda 3 with 180ps AWD and handshifter and the performance was not much better than the bmw 218i gran coupe with 140 ps (applied city and countryway).

I have the 218d and it seems to be drinking fuel so quick. I was hoping it was going to be very good based on the MPG stats

It might be a difference between Dutch and British market. But those black wheelcaps (or however they are called) aren’t included in the m sport line here, neither is the option for the leather seat covering or darker window tinting. You can pay extra for them ofcourse. Just curious whether this is a difference between markets.

I know that the black rims are an option here when getting Winter Tires in Luxembourg. The basic M configuration comes in a half leather like configuration but you can pay more to have some Alcantara M Sport seats. There is also an option to have 100% leather seats but that's another expensive option as well

@@matthewfowkes2910 i very know that very well. it's just a way for plebs to have 'M' on their car when in fact they have a a net value that - if they were smart - their car said 'Honda'. Therefore, it's cringe.

Yes its a bmw and drives like one... but bloody hell it looks like something hyundai would design... I guess its the trend these days. Im probably getting bit old lol

Take a look to the Grand Coupe M-Sport in white with 19“ wheels. You only can own this car with 19“ wheels, in my opinion. I got this car btw and it looks so much better in real!
