My last first fire drill of my high school career. I hope you enjoyed! You could hear one of the administrators open the door with a key because he thought there was no one in the class. You could also hear people mimicking the speaker strobes lol.

And does the requirement for the first drill in the first 10 days mean 10 calendar days (i.e. from August 15) or 10 school days (Monday-Friday only)? That needs to be more clearly written in the requirements because 10 school days is 14 calendar days. It is a big difference.

Did anyone else notice this? In my opinion, I find the delay between the horns activating after the speakers start a little bit concerning. I would think if this had been a real fire, the horns and speakers should activate at the same time. I would think that makes more sense lol. I wonder if there’s any fire code requirements about that issue? That could very well be a system defect if it takes about 5 to 10 seconds for the entire alarm to be activated. If it was real I’d wanna know right away, that’s all.

Again, this system is huge, so it would be quite difficult to have everything sync up at once

Sounds like a sync issue. My junior high & high schools had this issue.

There's nothing wrong with a delay. Don't make it seem like a bigger issue than it really is. Plus, there usually is some sort of delay in any mixed system, as there are usually multiple sync modules. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's not like the entire building will be engulfed in flames in 5-10 seconds. It takes a good bit for it to spread.
