Sir, Very sorry out of context question Car roof carrier legal in india ? on private car in particular If not as per which act ? Couldn’t find any in particular! Any one filed RTI to find out 😂 If not is are any permits or types which are allowed Asking facing as harassment u can imagine 😢 Please do help

There is no rule in motor vehicle act... regarding roof carrier...so even if u r beinf stopped for same..u can tell.that u have gone through rules...nd there is no such rule Still if they insist on challan which they won't...u can take in written for them. All the tourist vehicles are also equipped with it...i dnt think body modification is divided by use of vehicle.

You can put on any roof rack you want unless your roof rack is disproportionate to car and look dangerous in terms of safety
