The only places where we see the empire being "corrupt" or "oppressive" are those planets that have a high percentage of hostile activity or anti-ideological behavior from the population or bigger groups or rebellious cells. In those places stormtrooper patrols, house searches or oppression of the population are much more common due to every single citizen being considered a threat to the imperial ideology and standing on said planet. Though on planets which are considered under full imperial control and populated by a majority of loyalists, they actually live a extremely good life. Take vardos for example (before operation cinder obviously), while imperials were a common sighting there, it was just border guards or patrols, but no one was being mean to the citizens, hurting them or otherwise, they lived a very good life which was mostly unaffected by the imperials.

What do you dislike about it? Objectively, it was good for the galaxy. I don’t deny it was morally abhorrent at times, but considering most life in the galaxy is at relative peace and stability, it was good.

It is true that the empire did a lot of God, but a lot of it was outdone by the head honchos running the empire. Fear Doctrine: A nice little peace of madness invented by Tarkin. Let's nuke a core world and expect all others to fall in line, when fear from Base Delta Zero (from Star destroyers) is already sky high. New Order: A fine little anti alien propaganda created by Palpatine, that follows and human supremecist ideology and treating aliens as playthings. *Looks at British Inida,* yeah this probably wouldn't blow up horribly. I can state a lot more issues like COMPNOR bullshit, Repeated construction of Super Weapons, no regard for life of Stormtroopers or imperial pilots, the inhumane treatment of prisoners etc.

You can grab the movies or shows you want to use from UHDMovies. If, for some reason, the software you use to make edits does not accept the format the files usually come in (MKV), you can use apps such as HandBrake to convert them to MP4 without losing quality.
