Gaster being eager and inspired by Asgore's speech declaring war on humanity creates an interesting dynamic. It makes it so one of Asgore's closest men is starkly supportive of a decision he himself hates.

Logically, flowey shouldn't exist... Unless Gaster was the one who injected determination in him, then that'd make sense

you know, if alphys did exist back here which i am currently not sure of then they could have been an assistant and done something wrong. what im thinking is a younger alphys did it. however that would require them to have experimented on chara's soul at some point which could possibly have happened.

It's supposed to be a sort of Undertale Prequel, meaning it's already confirmed that they're gonna die since Asgore already had the Patience soul during Undertale.

Extreme canonicity to the detail isn't what makes a good AU/Fanstory imo, just see it as a "What if". Not specifically talking about you, but some people are WAY too obsessed with canonicity. I've seen some guy discredit Handplates, imo the AU with probably one of the most amount of ties and details to canonicity that not only follows it but also expands it wonderfully, just because you see dead-looking humans in the background of a short flashback of the human vs monster war, which would be wrong because according to one of the lore tablets in Waterfalls not a single human died to monsters in the war. That detail was not important at all and just a tiny, insignificant mistake with no consequences to the overall story.

One critique I have. Canonically, Alphys created Flowey, so you should either remove Gaster from any further segments, or remove Flowey, which is impossible at this point. This is proven by the fact that on true pacifist, Alphys is genuinly scared when Papyrus mentions a tiny Flower
