I’m a fan of all sports, but let’s get honest.. this is unheard of. Literally beat 3 of top world 5 checked out a 170 after a max, and the obv 9 darter in the first leg. It’s a pleasure to witness and we will all look back on this in 20yrs and still be amazed. History in the making. 9 darter in the opening leg, unreal! Aspinall was a gent, less to be said with Price and Gerwen who couldn’t even look the ‘Kid’ in the eye.

You could just tell MvG didn't want to be there at the presentation at the end, he must have felt helpless and humiliated losing to a 16 year old when he was supposed to be the next Phil Taylor

I thinl MVG is in a carrer-changing moment. Littler is pretty muh the same as MVG was like 10 years ago, but even younger and better. Of course he didn't reach peak MVG level yet, but Van Gerwen was probably thinking about himself as the biggest talent ever, the original wonderkid, the machine, and after Littler's breakthrough he just has to change mentally. I mean, 85 average... he was definitely scared.

To be at the very top level of darts for a long time, that takes tremendous effort, discipline and sacrifice. The most naturally talented players don't manage to stay on top for a long time. So it's hard to say of we have a new dominant force in Luke (no pun intended), but he is definitely exciting to watch and seems totally at ease out there.

The darts r back and if this is a sign of things to come then we’re in for a hell of a lot of excitement not just because of the standard that we’re getting treated to but Luke Littler is just the most amazing wonder kid, a special special talent and the best thing to happen to darts and he’s here to stay for a very very long time. His last few weeks as a 16 year old, he’s played 2 PDC events and he’s got runner up in the biggest tournament in the sport and then champion in his first ever World Series event. I don’t know what to say except he’s the most stunning story in sports atm. The standard today was excellent and the matches just seemed like they got better and better. Humphries brilliant winning run came to an end. Luke Littler hitting a perfect leg, becoming the youngest player to ever do so on the tour. An unreal match between MVG and Cross . Then in the semis Littler with a brilliant display hitting the big fish along the way to beating Price and then a very good match between the 2 Michaels where it seemed like MVG was always on top but couldn’t pull away because of missed darts at doubles but when it mattered most when he had to hit the 110 he did it and in the final Littler showed no sign of nerves and even though MVG didn’t replicate his earlier performances, Littler was brilliant and he was there to punish MVG and deservedly won the title. Can’t wait to see these 8 in the Premier League for the next few months and if Littler is playing like this, the rest of the players will need to up their game coz a teenager is making the sport look like a joke right now.

I'm not a follower md darts, but came to this video because I'd read about Littler's heroics in the World Championships. I'm proof that this talented lad (although he doesn't look 16 to me) DOES bring new people to the sport. And to add, I think darts has a gripping and exciting format. There's little hanging around that you get in other sports. These guys go toe to toe with each other at incredible speed. I'm a new fan of darts as a result.

This is simply amazing. The darts that this young man has produced in the World Championship, where he came in second to Luke Humphries, and now to win this title over Michael van Gerwen have me catching my breath. The nine darter against Nathan Aspinall truly blew me away!!! Is there anything Luke The Nuke can't do??? I know from my perspective the sky is the limit for him. i’m just a casual darts fan, like to keep an eye on it but i don’t watch it religiously..
