I think a lot of people forget that if he grabbed somebody going at about 50 percent of his top speed, his grab would literally kill them. Barry has to slow down so he doesnt kill anyone, thus the biggest weakness for the superhero with almost no weaknesses. Besides bees and ice cannons appearently.

@@f1ashman488 That doesn't make sense, even at his "slowest" speed grabbing someone would absolutely kill them (like how he grabs Diggle and runs him to another location from time to time). The reason they tend to give for this is that the speed force generates some sort force field that protects whatever or whoever Barry is interacting with... Knowing that, the fact that Barry still has trouble with any villain is just bad writing (or in other words, the consequences of giving a character powers that are beyond broken).

A person can survive that speed, but it would hurt like hell. We have cars that go that fast with people who drive them. The Flash isn't without faults either, yet somehow can break every limit set in front of him. Nothing within either Marvel or DC can be considered underpowered or overpowered as there is always a stronger power that's followed by a bigger weakness. Without speed, Barry Allen is just Barry Allen. Around Kryptonite, Clark Kent stays Clark Kent. Without money, Bruce Wayne is Bruce Wayne. There was a lot of bad writing for any superhero or villain if that's your idea of bad writing. The word "power" has comepletely lost it's meaning, especially overpowered and underpowered. It's not like they're magic users. They all have different powers. We can only judge someone's powers if there is another person with the same powers. Hence why there are multiple speedsters. Why there is Supergirl and other Kryptonians. Why there is Catwoman and Batwoman and Robin and Nightwing. There are chances to judge powers, and at the same time, we are talking about comics and fiction. Should we really care about biology when there's a sentiment that makes the character feel more human, or should we just completely make every single superhero and villain considered as inhuman? The point of writing about these heroes was to inspire people yet we still nitpick about it. I just made the point that Barry refuses to kill people. He despises that. If that has to work around the writing to keep his humanity intact, so be it.

Well in season 4 we see why he got so much faster when barry went inside the speed force to take the sphere there was like 100 lightning bolts and 1 lightning bolt made barry fast in season 1 which means he was hit by lightning thousands of times in the speed force

I think that is just kind of explained away via "power ignition". If their powers were active all the time, they would see everything in "flashtime". Minutes would be days or years, depending on their max power. Once they activate their powers, they enter flashtime and choose to go however much faster. This is why Running has always been a serene thing for speedsters, as all new speedsters explain running as calming as they first experience Flashtime. My theory based on years of reading comics but only recently reading flash comics.

We just know he was there for the half a year it took between him entering and him being rescued. The rest would be just speculation unless Barry recovers his memories and tells us how long exactly he felt it was (likely centuries if Savitar's words are to be believed).

But something will come of those weird words he was spewing, and those numbers. Remember that Harry was doing it too when he was losing his mind. There's something to that or they wouldn't keep bringing it up. Probably has something to do with his daughter and whatever arc we'll get in season 5.
