I hope gorilla godd is a villain in future movie. Barry Said in JL he's fluent in sign language, also gorilla sign language which is a nod to grodd. However we don't know if he's fully Grodd or more likely still just a smart gorilla 🦍 who hasn't yet been affected with intelligence.

Well, Barry went over his logic in the movie. That by making sure his mother had that can he was not directly interfering in events, he was making the smallest edit to the time steam possible and he thought it would have less repercussions than if he showed up and physically stopped the burglar which could have even more cascading effects.

I enjoyed the movie. I kind of figured something like this would happen with the criminally insane actor as the flash. Bad news is, after waiting all this time for a Flash movie, we probably won't see another one. Very sad day. I wish they had just recast and reshot the whole movie. Would have cost a ton more money, but they may have made it back. Honestly I would like to see the 4 hour cut, but we probably never will.

This movie was supposed to come out in 2018 or 2019. Seemed doomed almost from the start with all of the different directors either stepping down or getting dismissed by WB. Ezra's personal woes didn't help matters either.

I can confidently say that the Batmen, Affleck and Keaton were my favorite parts of the Flash movie. The rest I could take or leave. I'd love to see more of both versions of Batman.

As I said another great brakedown. But we recently just had a Spider-Man weekend here at home. Each and every time I heard “with great power, comes great responsibility “. And I still cried every time. It made me think about what’s happening in Hollywood right now. Without the writers and the creatives of the industry we wouldn’t have these moments. Unlike DC, Marvel is on their Multiverse phase where they can basically bring back who ever they want to, wether from old movies or because fans want it, I wish DC can be on that level but it will probably be a while

I think the movie didn’t do well because of the pending reboot. There was no reason to be invested in the characters or story because we knew it was all going away. The studio missed an opportunity to give the fans the best product possible. James Gunn will do a good job going forward, but there is a risk that a lot of fans have been turned off by how HC was handled.

Casual movie-goers wouldn't even know of the reboot. And you'd think ppl would want to watch it cos it's the Flash's first 'solo' outing and it has Keaton's Batman in it. It's a much bigger problem than that. I feel ppl are tired of superhero genre (esp. DC). And Ezra (his acting and portrayal) is generally not liked by the public

@@PaytonMollo valid point. I caught an early screening, however I was disappointed that the CW Flash show did a better job of handling Barry's mother's death than the movie. He made no attempt to figure out what happened, only wanted to stop it. That's not something you wait for a sequel to show.

@@purplespark8 true, but if casual movie-goers are unaware of the reboot, they would be left underwhelmed by the movie. I feel that people are tired of bad superhero movies (i.e. Thor Love and Thunder, Shazam 2, Morbius, etc.). Ezra played a bumbling-stumbling goofy version of the character. I was hoping the Grant Gustin made an appearance to at least highlight how Ezra got the Flash moniker.

Reverse Flash as a character, the way they have shown him over the years in the CW shows, he is an extremely dangerous person. He is easily a Justice League threat level villain all by himself. Hope they hire Anthony Starr as DCU Reverse Flash. Perfect amounts of psychotic and smartness.

The thing about the Flash movie is that after Batman v Superman came out, I recall reading about the proposed Flash movie. If I recall correctly, even before the Justice League movie was made, they were talking about basing the story on Flashpoint. That made no sense to me since Flashpoint was about rebooting the DC universe. Why would you reboot the universe just when it was starting? Of course, it was delayed long enough (not to mention many of the DC films made before the Flash film underperformed so much) that rebooting the DCEU was exactly what WB and James Gunn wanted. Most of what I know about Flashpoint comes from watching the excellent animated film. I didn't initially realize that it was Flashpoint that led to the New 52 reboot. I learned about the connection from the Suicide Squad Hell to Pay animated film. At the end of the Flashpoint animated film, Barry [Spoiler Warning] delivers a letter to Bruce from his father. Bruce is voiced by Kevin Conroy (the GOAT of Batmen). By the end of the film, the changes from Flashpoint should have already taken effect. But in the post-Flashpoint DC animated films based on the New 52 beginning with Justice League War, Bruce/Batman was voiced by Jason O'Mara. That at least means there are precedents for the universe Barry returns to after undoing Flashpoint NOT being the main DC universe going forward. So the ending of the Flash film doesn't mean that George Clooney will be playing Batman in the Brave and the Bold film. But that doesn't mean he couldn't play old Bruce Wayne in a Batman Beyond film (someday). While Batman and Robin was a horrendously bad movie, I don't blame Clooney for that. He played Batman the way Joel Schumacher wanted him to. Clooney is a very good actor and would do an excellent job.

I don't understand why the flash box office is the determining factor of Batman beyond being made or not. That makes no sense , having Keaton in a full length leading role in the film would bring in more than the $123M he brought in with The Flash as a supporting role.

Honestly, I appreciated what they tried to do for this. I only went to see this because of Michael and I love Flash as a character, so after all these years, yeah I wanted to see what this film was about. I of course had issues, but I appreciated what they tried to do with the source material and made a pretty heart felt story. Although, that leaves one big issue, how does a can of tomatoes stop Reverse Flash from killing Barry's mom? That never made any sense. Also I had figured out how Barry could help his dad right at the beginning anyway

I loved the Flash movie. I wish it had more Supergirl but it was a really good movie and Miller did do an awesome job as the Barries. I think that it and Black Adam are better than the box office shows. The issue might be DC's intellectual property vs Marvel's. Am speculating. I genuinely think they are awesome movies. Eternals is one of my favourite Marvel movies too though so, IDK if I just have a particular taste.

I watched Shazam 2 yesterday and I didn't think it would be good given the ratings and box office. Guess what.. I liked it better than the first part. You are absolutely right - the recent installments have been decent, but I think ppl have no interest in DC movies any more unless it is a Batman movie.

Michael Keaton was my favorite thing about the movie outside of seeing stuff like Nicholas Cage, but Keaton was still so good. Probably have to have something drastic happen. Didn't he say Gotham was now one of the safest cities in the world?

Yeah this was weird why they didn't put reverse flash in the movie , they should have done that like in the flash because that mystery and suspense was awesome, and he should have thought the flash the kicks his butt out of the chrono ball was reverse flash but later finds out it was himself and later when returning back to normal at end would see reverse flash and setting him up for sequel .

Emergency Awesome I really enjoyed the movie, but I am ok with Ezra being recast! I loved seeing Keeton! I feel James Gunn will kinda recast and do his own world, look forward to what’s to come! Thanks Charlie! You are always appreciated!

the only thing from the movie that i didnt understand is how does making a massive butterfly effect change the actors. i know they explained it in the movie how that works but the post credit clips make it more confusing unless jason isnt actually playing aquaman anymore and that was a bit cause if hes still there then how is everyone else different

I really like this movie, considering how many delays it went through and having to promote your film with the star being a bad person who committed crimes, it’s a miracle that it came out in the first place, and another miracle that it’s actually great! The performances by the whole cast was amazing and Ezra is a very good actor playing versions of the same character! I hope we at least get a really extended cut (fingers crossed for the 4h one) when it comes to the physical release 🤞 and I hope we can see more Flash in the rebooted movie universe 🤞🤞

That's a messed up move tying the Batman Beyond movie's fate to the performance of The Flash. WB knows well that people were going to boycott this movie due to Ezra Miller's actions. Sounds like they're trying to find a way to blame the fans for not wanting to make it. Judge Batman interest on Batman movies, not on a controversial criminal

Too bad they were basing Batman Beyond on the success of this movie. I think it would be a great opportunity for them to do a movie that isn't tied to all the DCEU bs. Otherwise the movie was fine. I watched it thanks to X-Bet, I don't want to send the message that Ezra should continue to work until he sorts out his shit and face some repercussions for him messing with people. This movie was overhyped, for sure. So many saying it was the best super hero movie of all time and other hyperbolic stuff like that. It was good, but that's about it. Now if only studios would stop coddling creepo actors. Otherwise Sasha Calle was fantastic, and I would love to see her edgy moody take on Supergirl in future projects.

Lol theyre so out of touch with the fan base with regards to a Keaton Batman Beyond movie. Even people who dont put Keaton up top still say theyd like a BB movie with him in it. WB fails to see that people really didn't want to see Ezra Miller agian and the result is Keaton gets screwed over by the executives misinterpreting the whole flash not making any money situation

It's crazy went from doing crazy numbers the 1st week an being beloved to after a critics started bashing it next thing you know the 2nd week it fell off by 73% smh I don't understand why critics that know they're not going 2 like a movie going 2 watch a movie and then are like Hey I don't like this movie you know you wasn't gonna like the movie before you seen it why go reviewing an critique it Go review something you think you'll like so that way when you give a bad review of it it'll be like OK this person was hoping to like this movie and they didn't so now we know it's not a good movie versus oh this person doesn't like these type of movies anyways so they give it a bad ratin or review anyway

I’m surprised that people didn’t like this movie. The flash is my favorite superhero so I was going to like it no matter what. Even with the CW cgi I still enjoyed the movie. I get it Ezra’s a bad person but damn flash fans always get shafted. Very sad no reverse flash

They need to make a flash movie showing the origin of thawne in his time and when Barry came back and their encounters and how flash saved the crowd angering thawne driving him to the desire to kill flash as his younger self leading to him killing his mother. A movie about the flash and reverse flash pretty much.

Honestly the filmed was doomed long before it hit the screen. With all the controversy around Miller plus James Gunn getting announced as the new head of the DC films and his explanation of the new canon people were not going to really see this film due to not wanting to support Ezra or feeling that it is pointless since the entire film series is being killed and rebooted. I did enjoy the film and it was fun seeing all the quick cameos near the end but it was missing some key components such as an actual Flash Villain and the Flash being the lead (both of them felt secondary to both Affleck and Keaton Batman), plus being a fan of the Flash you can only see the Flash make the same mistake soo many times. They should have brought in the Reverse Flash near the end to give this version of Barry a wake up call as he was very goofy throughout his entire tenure in the films.

@@PaytonMollo The same mistake I refer to is The Flash going back in time to try to save his mother but then changing the timeline for the worse, as a Flash fan I have seen this 4-5 times already in the different movies, TV series, comics and such so Flash fans have already experienced Barry make this mistake so that does lessen the impact. To me Barry did feel secondary, the intro action scene he was just doing what Batman and Alfred was telling him to do, once Keaton comes in he pretty much steals the show and Supergirl is the one who takes on the only character at that point the audience saw as the main villain. During all this he felt more like the comic relief rather than the main character.

if i am the director ..... the clue will be on part 2. it will feature reverse flash origin and crisis on infinite earth. how these two events will change the life of barry allen. i mean in the post crisis timeline, nora allen lives. she also witnessed the vandal savage vs wally west flash battle that changed wally west forever before introducing the speed force. thawne will never kill nora allen unless he and barry meet each other.

also, a movie called "Time Masters" featuring Rip Hunter and Booster Gold will feature the danger of time travelling. why and why not an event should be changed or fixed. the very existence of the continuity of the timeline or Rip's existence will also depend on the cahnge of events. the concept "Rip MUST exist so time can be preserved" will also be explained. should this movie be an animation or not MUST be made.
