Mate I reckon we only pulled a dozen fish over the 3 days. We went after those bigger models but from what I heard, trolling up numbers and small plastics in super shallow water worked well for the smaller fish

Thanks Jo, my stepson ( you offered him a dohnut lol) only caught the one fish, I went to Donnybrook on the Saturday and caught 8, the biggest going 61cm with many in the mid 50s.all caught on the edges of the exposed banks, when the tide is up I cant catch a fish to save my life up there, all the action comes as the banks come out.

What's your go to knot for braid to leader? I've always used fg knot but lately having a long leader the knot just cops it going through the runners

Hey bro. I use an FG. For super light line I might change it but generally an FG is my go to now.

Great videos mate, what test curve are the rods you are using for flatties of that size? Guessing the baitcaster gear is heavier than the spin outfits?

Mate there’s plenty of lads who stayed right beside the event which makes sense. They do big days and an easy walk to bed after dinner and beers.

Pretty sure it was a Shimano Snapper Classix. I cut the butts down and use em for Jacks in canals. A bit heavy for flatties but we were throwing big lures with it

The 80cm fish came from literally 10cm no kidding. It was dry 30minutes later.

We only cast this time around. Most guys just trolled and got good numbers from what I heard. I’ll probably do more of that in the years to come
