I haven't seen the remake but definitely am a fan of The Fog. I actually started going through and watching all your Versus videos, good stuff!

Good fair review of both film. I recently watched the original. Not my favorite John Carpenter film but still glad that it exists. Does the remake add to the original, yes in some ways. Will we see another remake? I think in today there is room for that. Of today’s Directors who would you pick? Now that is food for thought. 😉🙂👍

The original is such a good ghost story so atmospheric. I missed the remake in theaters but bought the DVD but didn't find it as good as the original. Good comparison and cool video guys!👉🙂👈

Neither stuck with me as much as I'd like. Score is amazing in OG, remake at least tried something different. But I don't feel a need for an annual rewatch of either.

Its too bad that the 2005 film gets hated on so much but the filmmakers had no choice to make this movie PG-13 because Tom Welling was the star of Smallville at that time and his audience was pre-teen hence why the soft rating. I remember being so surprised that Hal Holbrook was a bad guy in the original. pssst,"Consecration" takes place in a church!!!!

The 1980 movie has a fantastic atmosphere much of that coming from the score. The remake lacks all of that Atmosphere and as such is inferior.

Definitely understandable. I definitely would have thrown money on you loving it. Horror is subjective though.

really like the fog 1980 to slow pace for my taste but there you go never seen the remake always heard how bad it is i was thinking of watching it but after watching exorcist 2 and nost of the hellraiser series for the first time in the last year cant watch any more of this garbage movies
