Really liked this one with your personal favorites. I have similar tastes in some areas. I love my AUS 8 RAT 1 that I got for $18. What an awesome beater. Works well. I also bought a 9CR18MOV Civivi, the Naja, similar to yours on sale for $39. What an excellent budget knife. Very smooth. I want a Spyderco, but haven’t gotten to it and not sure which one I want yet. I love Hinderer’s designs. I lust the XM-18, but don’t know if I’ll drop the coin. Maybe another ZT design of his. I cheaped out and got the Thermite. We’ll see. I’m not a nut for the Benchmades as much, but I do feel the Superfreek. I am carrying the Bestech Thorn, perfect EDC size and I’m a fan of the Sandvik steels (12C27) which are underrated IMO. I also got into Moras and love them. So useful. I have a few Bucks, a Buck 119, I carried and a 40 year old Swiss Army fisherman along with a few others. A Gerber multi-tool too. By the way, what a mad cool wife you have. Mine puts up with my collecting, but yours goes looking for you. That’s special.

Happy belated Fathers Day! I carried Cold Steel Broken Skull for over a year and just recently "up graded" to the Recon 1 Tanto. They are both very solid and I beat the tar out of them just as you do your RAT, Tuff lite, and Civivi. Great blades and you definitely get your money's worth out of them. I'm currently saving for a Benchmade Super Freek because I really want to try out M4 steel.

@@metal_complex I have found the KME to be an excellent system. Good choice, although I do appreciate the flexibility and value of the edge pro apex... if I was loaded, one of the wicked edge systems seems cool. Cant go wrong with any of them. I liked the KME stones the best however

I, using a edge pro apex and love it but man I eat thru stones with all these new steels I need diamond I believe I’m using regular stones with it and it get great results but go thru stones I would love a Wicked edge but I bought ever gadget and leveling glass for the edge pro I’m probably 500 all im

My son almost cried when those Pro-Tech Malibu's sold out immediately. He had asked for it for his 21st b'day and would have been his 1st Protech as well. Fingers crossed.

I wish wish WISH the Benchmade Mini Crooked River's blade spine went all the way to meet the bolster. That gap looks horrible but the colors and blade shape is awesome. My favorite is the Lionsteel and the Microtech OTF. May buy one some day if it doesn't have blade play. The paramilitary looks ugly but the one that would be in my pocket most because of reliability and good functionality.

I have a "thing" with using everything I buy. I've been tempted with some that I knew I wouldn't use, but have been dissuaded by that. With that said, I do have fairly expensive taste, (not Hinderer expensive) but I have a custom shop 20CV full size crooked river to a 9400 to a smock all the way down to the rat 1 and 2 (D2) I even snag my old lady's WE Deacon from time to time and that was pricey. The only thing I won't carry is the PM2 that I have WAAAAAY too much money into because of the bronze titanium hardware, bronze titanium pocket clip, and SDK 24K gold shred CF scales. I won't carry that to work lol

I hear you on the treating different knives differently for reasons unknown to me . Like my 0562 TI started getting used immediately but my 940-2001 has yet to cut anything . Don't know why . My 0562 almost replaced my para 3 in my pocket most days . Still keep a bugout in my back pocket most days for backup . And I always have at least two traditional slipjoints and some of those are just for looking at also .

I wanted the 940-2001 but just on principle, I refused to pay $340 for a knife that should have been $280. I've paid more for knives but when I feel they're really gouging me...nope.

We can carry whatever in Tennessee lol. A 2013 law made all remaining knives legal to carry which were switchblades.

Awesome collection! I'm about halfway through the video. But I'm seeing a gap here. No Sebenza 21. I make a motion that we pool up and get MC a Sebenza 21 large for his permanent user collection. I would contribute a goodly sum towards the cause. Michaele_8891 on IG if anyone is with me on seeing this legendary knife as a permanent cast member let me know. Maybe one of the figurehead metal knights could take the collection, or someone else could work out the logistics of how it could work.

Ya... you're clearly new. I've got videos of me sharpening my knives that show the before and after. Caked with gunk, and then cleaned and sharpened. Thanks Sherlock, but your detective skills aren't doing you any favors here. For future reference, just because they're clean doesn't mean they haven't been used. Thats called "general maintenance". You gotta use your head man.
