"I wandered off to France and did the 'Fool On The Hill' part one morning with a couple of mates. It wasn't quite "union" - you were supposed to take millions of cameramen, but we didn't want to do that..."

Despite the full version on Magical Mistery Tour is so funny, I can't avoid to feel a kind of sadness and maybe, nostalgic because here Paul was 25 (so young!) and currently, he is almost 80 and you think about all the long road he has crossed: meeting new people, losing loved ones, achieving the success and, in certain ocassions, the failures, composing without rest and giving it all to his public. It's impossible not getting emotional... he's a man who has lived the life so great and he has given us amazing moments because of his music. The world won't be the same when he flies away...

@@olskzeri2723 Paul said the song is about a wise man who is misunderstood by the people around him. The wise man is called a fool, but he's actually the wise one. I didn't really get the song before I heard that, but knowing that, I think it's actually a pretty kind hearted song. It's sympathizing with good people who are misunderstood and judged when they shouldn't be. I think it's a pretty nice message actually, but if I hadn't heard what the song was about it might not have clicked with me that way

I was in middle school when I saw this movie with my dad and I remember perfectly when this song arrived I was shocked because I felt immediately in love with Paul McCartney. He was so sweet and cute. Then I listened to the song and I felt in love with the Beatles. Such a sweet memory.

When I first saw this film at the age of 2, I remember loving the closeups of Paul’s eyes and I kept waiting for more of those closeups throughout the sequence.

The movie is about LSD trip. Before the song Paul started to nodding (very typical) and he gets into the trip and got the hallucination that he is lonely on the hill. Usually such visions last some seconds but time is very flexible under acid.

The problem wasn't actually between The Beatles, it was between Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson bought the rights to their music and Paul has only recently been able to reaquire them.

I have just realised this classic song is a perfect pen-portrait of Victorian nature-mystic Richard Jefferies. His seminal work on finding spiritual insight through intense communion with nature, begins; 'There was a hill to which I used to resort...' ('The Story of My Heart', second paragraph). In chapter 5 he adds, 'I used every morning to visit a spot where I could get a clear view... I had a dislike to being seen, feeling that I should be despised if I was noticed. This happened once or twice, and I knew I was watched contemptuously'. In the eyes of others, he was an eccentric 'fool'.

The man best known as "Sir Paul" is NOT the real James Paul McCartney. The Paul you fell in love with was the real Paul. But "Sir Paul" is actually a William/Billy/Bill. You have totally missed the point of William's song and what he is trying to tell us. You will be greatly dissapointed once you become aware that William is only JPM's replacement late 1966 "as an already set up affair". Not the real deal.

My Dear Sir Paul You probably wont read this, but I was fortunate enough to download this snippet of wonder for my new UK Grandaughter and edit it accordingly for her first Christmas Day. It was touch and go that I made my son's wedding back in 2019 and even more touch and go that I'll ever even meet my first Grandbubby. The song is about Beatles new "Paul McCartney" pointing out that no one can see him even tough the man of a thousands voices is talking perfectly loud. "He never listens to them He knows that they're the fools" It is a mock song against everyone who believes he really is "Paul McCartney". William just replaced JPM late 1966, he is 100 procent NOT James Paul McCartney.

Paul had a habit of going into the studio and record a whole song and put it on a Beatles record and call it The Beatles which irked John especially! Examples - Yesterday & Eleanor Rigby. The only contributions from John and George were the Harmonicas played during the song. The Moody Blues' John Thomas and Mike Pindee also played Harmonicas in unison with John and George. This is essentially another James Paul McCartney solo song.
