@@paulhope3401 Yes, yes. They are all paid for the biased reviews. The amount of money he gets from the Audi ("what a weapon!") alone is nothing to be shy about. The only real guy that knows how to make a proper car review is Davide CIroni (Drive Experience).

Lots of wrong information: -MK7 ST already had Torque Vectoring; -MK7 ST already had 3 driving modes; -MK8 ST doesn't have adaptive dampers; -MK8 ST is heavier than the MK7;

This looks superb, the styling looks sporty yet not over the top and by all accounts performs very well too, the 3 cylinder is a very capable engine.

WONDERFUL! They went from a droney 4 cylinder down to a characterful 3 pot. 3 cylinders are acoustically similar to flat sixes, so you can pretend you're hooning a Porsche.

@@DemonicVelocity Ever heard one uncorked? Years ago I got to spend a weekend at a racetrack with some friends, there were prepped Porsches EVERYWHERE. When I got back to town somebody in a Suzuki Swift with a fartcan came flying up behind me at a light, and I SWEAR I was looking for a Porsche until this shitbox hatchback went by me.

Spider Jerusalem ford discontinued all cars except the mustang and will only make that and all of its suvs in the US

It makes me mad as hell that we aren't getting this car here in the US. I have a 2014 FiST and I love it to death, but the upgrades on the new one would be sweet and that three pot actually sounds pretty nice!

Absolutely love my MK8 ST. For me, it’s a nice step up from the MK7 and much comfier. It also sounds farrr better. Especially with a Milltek on it ;) Few things not quite right in this video though. No adaptive dampers and torque vectoring is featured in the MK7 ST. Otherwise, enjoyed this review 😁

Torque vectoring was a feature also in the MK7. Only electronic though, no LSD from factory.

JB CTR I thought the RC1 dampers were adaptive as it senses if you are cornering and stiffens up according to the load placed on it.

Leon TheProfessional They’re ‘frequency selective’ so clever dampers. But ‘adaptive’ generally indicates that the user can change the ride comfort on the fly.

- The RECARO Seats are Standard in the ST. The only Option for them is the Alcantara /leather Thing. - flat Shift works in the near of the Red Line... When the little ST Symbol Shows Up, Go Shift Up.... Very poorly Report from top Gear...

I really enjoyed my time with my mk7 at, I had a superchips bluefin on it and it really transformed it. Great cars for the money would Def like to try the new one with the diff

I can hold 50 mpg with the older ST200 on the freeway, and 75mpg on country roads (0.39-0.42 L/100km) so what's the improvement? Mine has 4 cylinder 1.6 L

Great review and an awesome sound of the motor. VW 1.4 tsi should learn something from ford here. My jetta 1.4 sound like a kitchen utensil.

Not sure, but he also did it wrong in this video. You'd have to do it at higher rpm when the ST logo (to indicate optimal shift timing) starts to light up.

38 mpg?? Highest I have ever seen in my ST is 35 and that was through massive german road works - then after blasting it on the autobahn it settled about 32 mpg over long journeys.

The fact that you can order this St with a limited slip but you can’t get one in any non-m bmw absolutely blows my mind. The only non-m bmw to come with a limited slip was the zhp 435 and they only made 100. Bmw really needs to get it together in that regard.

Why are all top gear you tube videos never have the option for automated subtitles / caption option. Very poor and very disappointing. Not the bargain the old one was,seats are for skinny to normal build folks,and paint is very thin like the old MK7 i had,lots of horrible dark hard plastics still,lets see how long before it gets squeaks and rattles and noisy breaks,least they gave a sunroof option this time. Wait till the price comes down on a used car!
