Another option (that works even in vanilla) is to join Axis instead, that way you can capture French Indochina really early on and form the Rattanakosin Kingdom for extra cores. Siam is actually surprisingly fun in MP you allie with Japan and take alot of land or you could go communist and allie with the soviets and get land that way. Playing Siam isn't even that bad compared to some other minors.

Maybe it could be like a throwback to your old switzerland video from back in the day where you showed off an espionage mod? You could spec into espionage and be the allied spymaster, causing chaos from the background? This was what kept me occupied in my recent British Raj game, where I played till 1946 and tactically nuked most of Germany and every Japanese victory point. Whatever you do, it'll be super funny and impressive like all your other videos! If South East Asia had a DLC it would be sick: Dutch East Indies has potential for a focus tree British Malaya should be in the Together For Victory DLC but this focus tree would be better Siam did help in WW2 so it would be a good Focus Tree Philippines (not in South East Asia but whatever) would be fun if you want to make a fortress or just defend against the Japanese empire

It’s better to join the Axis imo. Conquer the empty Indochina immediately and make your formable nation while grabbing Singapore and as much of Burma as possible until the resistance is too much. Then hold that line while you take Indonesia and maybe Australia, while pushing slowly into the Raj when opportunities arise
