The former foreign secretary, speaking to reporters outside his house in Oxfordshire, said: "I have nothing to say about this matter except to offer you some tea."

This is actually genius by Boris. It allows him to both avoid the question and look based by offering out cups of tea to reporters waiting outside his house. He knew they would be filming and that this would most likely go public.
