Oh yea, I also wanted to say something about intuition. I believe that intuition is based on knowledge and experience and it's an immediate reaction to something. This immediate reaction/feeling is drawn from the subconscious where information is stored and it could also be drawing on information that you are taking in, in the moment that passed through the conscious awareness because of the filtering process that occurs to prevent us from being overwhelmed with too much instant info. Hope that makes sense. So the more experienced and knowledgeable a person is, the more accurate their intuition will be.

Thanks for sharing your feelings and thoughts! I too think that is a part of it, but can also be something deeper and innate, soul guidance one could say🙏🏼 I’ve had too many experiences with intuition beyond anything I had previously known or learnt about, coupled with esp to doubt this.

At 67, and a cancer survivor ( so far 🙏🏻) it’s interesting to me that much of what we are “discovering” in the lab is around how powerful real natural fruits and veggies are for health -especially coupled with occasional water fasting. Not really “new” is it?!!?☺️ Your 4 pillars are a beautiful description of a process I, too, have evolved to use over the years as I navigate this loud cacophony of marketing.

Topics I am interested in: Mucoid plaque Can we live on only fruit? Parasites: do they actually influence cravings/behavior/moods and do we have to do parasite cleanses? Calories: is it more important what we eat? In other words do calories matter more or less depending on quality of food? And how many do we need? (Even on raw food, it's very easy for me to over eat, I'm jealous of all the people who discover they are not eating enough!!!!!!!!!) Fats: Should we adhere to the 80/10/10 ratio? I think that covers it. Thanks. PS you are the best!!

Thanks so much! Mucoid plaque video will be coming next month, also a video on why I’m not a Fruitarian this summer. Fun idea on Parasites too, I’ll get into that. On the Calories one, I did a recent video that goes into that a bit with Julia called “Eating an Abundance vs Eating Unlimited Calories” but could go deeper, I think you will enjoy that one tho if you haven’t seen it! Thanks much for the suggestions and appreciation, let me know if you watch that video and more to come for sure🙏🏼

So they mucoid plaque video coming up soon? lol. No worries Im a procrastinator myself so Im used to waiting for things to manifest late. But since you offered to welcome questions then I shall add this: what is your take on sediment in urine? Is the presence of it a signal that lymph system is clearing out and we're on good path to health or is sediment in urine a signal that there is inflammation in bladder or any other mainstream interpretation of it correct? This is what Robert Morse or John Rose preaching. It is logical but is it true? Then there is idea that those acidic wastes, when accumulated in the tissues, promote cells inflammation, then ulceration, then induration and lastly cancerous mutation/or cells degeneration/death. (I might have screwed up the order, perhaps induration is before ulceration but dont remember now) And those 2 ideas basically give us a scientific explanation of disease formation. It is logical to me. But is it true? So to sum up: - mucoid plaque - sediment in urine controversy - the former, if not excreeted to urine, create inflammation, ulceration, induration and then death/mutation of cells/tissues/organs. Are those true? If yes, then we basically have the disease formation explanation on the platter and its a shame on doctors that they don't know it and treat people with toxic drugs. If its not the case, then what is? I can't think of better explanation of how diseases manifest. But it must be comprehensible and logical and easy to point out since there are not that many variables that our bodies are dependent on (diet, sunshine, clean air, water, mental health, exercise, community, etc). Raw vegan diet seems to compliment those theories and since people heal stuff on it, then it seems true. But am I missing something?

Chris, what is the best healthy Tofu alternative? My vegan family members LOVE tofu. But I'm worried about their health (enzyme inhibitors and phytoestrogens causing cancer)

I’d firstly say there is no reason to be concerned about tofu in the way you mentioned, I’ve researched this extensively and the data doesn’t support any reason to be. That said even better is tempeh, hope that helps.

Somebody who is new to this lifestyle, how can they differentiate between intuition and addiction
@TheRawAdvantage
@TheRawAdvantage Ай бұрын
The best way I’ve found is to really hone in and feel into self, noticing if the situation / food / thought feels expansive and light, or even slightly contractive and heavy. A side point, it takes time listening to and being mindful around intuition based choices for this to become more clear. Also, specifically with food choices it takes some education around cravings and why we crave specific foods and how to replace them, as well as coming to some consistence with a clean simple diet to let go of these patterns. My video on true hunger can help with this therawadvantage.com/true-hunger-what-is-hunger/ As well as this video on emotional eating and binging therawadvantage.com/emotional-eating-binge-eating-and-finding-peace-and-ease/ Lastly, this framework is what I use and is helped by my education and experience, I’m not saying it’s not useful for others but for someone new to the diet and studies it’s going to be more beneficial to consider the first and third pillars with more emphasis.

If you set a goal for 7 - 14 days on WFPB 80/10/10, you will eliminate your cravings. Setting a goal is key. No "I'll start tomorrow" but intentionally decide in 2 wks on this day I will commit to this excercise. Write out a committment & read it daily. Be prepared in advance. Make it simple such as watermelon for breakfast, large salad for lunch, bananas and dates for snack, oranges and cucumbers for dinner. Nuts and seeds should be avoided because for us addicts it's too tempting to overeat them. At the end of the time, you will probably decide to keep going. Do only juicing at least one day a week, preferably. Most package or processed food is designed to produce cravings. Addiction is not necessarily because you had a bad childhood - not in today's market. Drink lemon water with stevia (pure stevia) if you need something sweet. I still drink lemon water with stevia. I learned it at OHI from the gal who used to play cat woman. 🌺

Sounds good, I do have a video that goes a bit into it, more so into a really good oral hygiene plan. therawadvantage.com/the-ultimate-oral-hygiene-plan/ As an aside I really focus on the first 3 steps, if I had major tooth issues I’d utilize 4 and or 5. For some ease, ripe fruit isn’t bad for teeth at all, it’s not having a good oral hygiene plan, eating under ripe fruit especially citrus, eating lots of food that sticks to the teeth (dried fruit / nuts), and not eating enough greens and veggies that impact tooth health. If your eating ripe fruit, lots of greens, enough calories, not eating lots of dried fruit/nuts straight from the bag and instead blended / with fresh fruit and greens, and brush, floss and waterpic, the norm is better than average tooth health. My dentist is always blown away by how clean my teeth are and I have way better tooth health than before on a fruit based diet. Hope that helps, wouldn’t want to leave ya waiting on such a important topic 🙏🏼

@@TheRawAdvantage wow - great advice - and thanks so much for getting back so fast! Based on what you say, I'm pretty good on most counts these days. My 2 vices are: (i) eating loads of oranges (like 6) in the morning as my body seems to crave them. and (ii) constantly snacking on fruit more often than I should through out the day as I'm working (desk-based). I had read somewhere that rinsing with water / bicarb soda is a good idea after eating fruit. Is this something you have any thoughts on? I'll check out your video now!
@TheRawAdvantage
@TheRawAdvantage Ай бұрын
@abimasefield6673 pleasure, no worries on oranges for a big meal as long as they are ripe and sweet, your not swishing the juice excessively in the mouth while drinking and on average are not eating more than 1 meal of them per day. Important not to brush right after eating citrus, especially not with an abrasive powder like baking soda as the enamel is softened for about 45 minutes after. Swishing with water or eating a handful of greens also helps. Another point from what you said, it’s better for the teeth to slowly move towards fewer large meals rather than many smaller meals or snacks in general as this optimizes the mouth microbiome and bathes the teeth in nutrients that help for a longer period of time. Imho baking soda is a bit of overkill, I’d personally go with the above. Hope that helps and you enjoy the video🙏🏼 I’ll make a more in depth video going into all of the above at some point, thanks for bringing it up🤗

Most problems with teeth stem from people thinking they no longer need to brush or clean teeth after going raw. There are ways to stengthen teeth and gums such as oil pulling and brushing occasionally with fine charcoal powder. Use licorice root to brush teeth and gums (chew the end to form a brush).

But why not admit some people thrive on different diets? I know a raw vegan chef and detox specialist who died of intense cancer. I also know a raw vegan who's doing well without health problems. I know a carnivore who thrives. I know a carnivore who had a stroke. I've known meat eaters who achieve old age without problems, and meat eaters who achieve old age with many problems. I've know vegetarians who are always sick but eat clean, and vegetarians who are always well but eat anything as long as its no meat. There are examples of people who thrive in all camps and get sick. Don Gorske is doing great on a big mac diet. As a plant based guy myself I don't undestand why nobody is comfortable admitting that diet creates diffrent impacts in different people with different lifestyles.

@TheRawAdvantage Ай бұрын
“Thriving” is all relative, compared to whom, and can you be thriving and then die earlier than our genetic potential from a degenerative disease? Beyond this, health and thriving are about much more than just diet alone. We could utilize these pillars to go into individual diets and their predictable health outcomes, but when discussing “thriving,” it’s broader than just diet. Genetics, mindset/stress, fitness, sleep, and many other factors come into play. I, too, have met raw foodists who haven’t done well; in most cases, when you look into their history and how they apply their diet and lifestyle, it becomes clear why; this is a large part of why I do coaching. I’d highly question carnivores thriving and doing well in the long term; all 4 of the pillars point to it being a disaster, raising all-cause mortality, and indeed, there are many examples of that in the merry-go-round that is a high fat/protein animal-based diet. I don’t take the word “thrive” lightly. Sure, people can survive on many diets; we are very adaptable, but genuinely thriving, living a long, pain-free life without loads of pills, etc, is rare. Having an enviable year-round physique and physicality, vastly reducing the chances of dying from a degenerative disease, all while reducing our impact on the environment, is more assured on a plant-heavy diet that matches or as closely matches our species-specific diet as possible. As an aside, again, health is about much more than diet; in today's reality and the genetics the youth have, it’s getting harder to thrive genuinely, but we can stack the cards in our favor and do the best we can.

Genes load the gun but lifestyle pulls the trigger. Then, with regards to illnesses or allergies (cancer, stroke etc.), kindly note that, except poisoning (chemical or electromagnetic nature) or injurie, all are just somatizations, biological programs activated psihologically by that individual and this is why you may eat very well but endind up having "cancer". Search for New German Medicine to better understanding this paradigm. It completely changed my life by setting me free.
