In this video I teach you how to make the Frank Bush Modular Ropecraft System the most advanced ropecraft system on the planet. This modular design replaces 99% of all the need to tie knots in the field. From hanging backpacks to making tripod cooking kit hangs to gear hang lines, clotheslines, ridgelines and guylines this system can do all of them without having to tie anything more than one simple knot in the field.

Put on two heat shrink tubes after the first, and send the first of the two loose tubes 13 foot up the line; when you cut at 12 foot, you already have the first one on for your subsequent modular line. Great system! 👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃

The only tip I can add to this genius is for the shrink wrap portion. If you're going to add it to each piece, slide two pieces on before cutting, one for each side of the cut.

Frank is the OG of bushcraft. I love how he is all business.. No frills. 480P is 2023. What a legend. Every video he makes I take away a part of it to use in my daily life somehow.

You should slide the heat shrink tubing down the rope to where you want to cut the rope, shrink it onto the rope, then cut the tubing and the rope at the same time.

Frank, you should consider maybe walking on a treadmill for a few hours a week or anything to get some cardio. Your breathing sounds labored to the point that I’m concerned for your health.

You should add a toggle to the one end with a bite. It makes the jungle knot system so much easier to use. And you won’t even need the larks head knot to attach one cord to the other. I do like that splicing part instead of the overhand knots I use to make my jungle knots. The modular part is so nice to use and it does save lots of time. Oh another benefit of using toggles is when you use it to hang stuff of a tree the toggle will fit the backpack loop very nicely and hold it.

I’ve just found you. I love your way of thinking. It’s a thrill to see someone being so thoughtful and inventive. I was never in the scouts and remembering all those knots is daunting. You are n original thinker. Possibly the first one I’ve come across. I really admire what you’ve done. I’ve subscribed and hopefully I can learn what you’re sharing. Again, thank you for sharing this. I’m watching from Suffolk, England. You’re world famous now 😀

I was so inspired by your last ridgeline video that I made a 38 foot locked brommel ridgeline out of dyneema. I also made some droplines, but instead of heat-wrapped ends after the stopper knot, I buried the ends into each other to create a 2 or 3 inch loop to act as a quick release pull.

This is amazing and definitely the ultimate modular system (I think?). I really like how you have multiple 5-6 ft modules that you can daisy chain to get any length ridgeline instead of having a 25 ft Ridge line like in previous videos where, if not all 25 ft are being used, the unused part is coiled up and hanging at one end. This is brilliant! Ok, ordering some Kevlar rope and building it. Thanks for sharing Frank!

Thanks for adding to my outdoorsman conceptual tool set! I can see how modular tools can simplify and enhance the utility of "the hardest ridge line on the planet!" I'll probably still use my permanently attached guy line prussik loops hanked close to the gromet using those shock absorbing colorful silicone hair bands ...

So glad you're not using black cordage for videos, can actually really see what you're doing this time.
