My absolute favorite scene from season 2. This series, is perhaps one of the freshest comedy that handles emotional ups and downs so well.

What a nice way of incorporating a fable as a metaphor in a series. Brilliant writing.

So much of Ricky's material is mined from his XFM days with Steve and Carl. This one has been reworked into Tony being the frog, but the base material is the same.

Same as the ''a society grows great when old men plant trees they'll never sit in the shade off" - that was a quote they put to Karl once to analyse, but this lady uses it in another scene. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ebiglbiinpzRkZc.html

Most comedy is like that. If you watch Louie on FX, most of the show is bits that Louis CK did on the Opie and Anthony show. You try out the material, see what works, and the stuff that does you rework into a show or a bit or something. Musicians do the same, actually. Just working the material before you do a "final" draft.

Except Pilkington's response to this fable was way funnier than this awful show. He said "in what circumstances would a frog be knockin' around with a scorpion?"

This script is an exact copy of a conversation Ricky Steve and Karl had, but at the end Karl goes “I thought it was gonna say ‘I can swim’”

I am so sure that they used to improvise these scenes. She had no idea he was going to say ' nothing about the shape' The reaction was so real. My favourite comedy series ever.
