The thing that really irritates me about this is that kids menus often have a bunch of plain items or just items in general that don’t have an adult menu equivalent. A big example is grilled cheese. Like I don’t want your fancy smancy sandwich with a bunch of stuff on it I’m not gonna eat anyways. Sometimes I just want a simple meal man.

I’ve worked in a charity shop dedicated to giving old people a comfortable last few months before they die. Yes, I was being paid. Because nobody wants to work 40-50 hours a week going through bin bags full of crap for free. It’s a tough job where you have to decide what’s sellable and what’s worthless. Sometimes we got donation bags in that had nothing but underpants and soggy bits of beef in them. Because some twat thought we were a dump rather then a shop. So yes Ricky Gervais, most people who work for charity don’t care about the charity itself. Less then a quarter of our profits actually go to the cause itself. But guess what, the people who donate their crap to us don’t care either. The buyers don’t care. The amount of times I’ve had to deal with skintflint hagglers is staggering. All asking if I can reduce the prices to 50p. And we were burgled on a regular basis. People just nicking things by stuffing their pockets with small items. And one time we had a break in the safe. Lost £2000 charity earned money to some thief. Nobody cares if old people are dying alone and unhappy. No more then they care about starving children. Or animal slaughter. Or deforestation. Extra extra. At the end of the day, we’re all twats. Selfish and corrupt.

Twice I've had volunteers approach me in the last few months. Once they did it when I was having a monumental headache. When they realised I wasn't well, they immediately were apologetic and let me go on my way. Second time, I had an emergency and this woman didn't realise that I was running a panic. She started her pitch. I had to cut her and say I'm sorry but I was in a rush. But yeah, the ones that bother you when you've already said you're busy are the worst.
