I used to defend and argue that Canelo was truly one of the best boxers in modern history and one of the greatest fighters of all time. But this changed since he came out publicly saying that he's not going to fight Benavidez: because he's at a stage in his carreer where he does what he pleases...After this, I realized that Canelo has become the Latin American version of Floyd Maywheter Jr. A fighter that only fights opponents that he thinks that he can beat and that on top of this, with boxers that accept rehydration clauses that give him an enourmous advantage over them. I started to come to the awareness of how self-deceived he is, after seeing him raising his hands after the Bivol fight and complaining that he got robbed. This showed me that you have to be either crazy, a diluted person, or a deceiver in order to think that you won that fight, when it was beyond obvious that Bivol beat him in every way a boxer can be beat (and even invented new ways in which a boxer can be beat) I'm sorry, Canelo, but I can't respect you as a boxer if you tell me that we can't see the fight against Benadivez, because you can do whatever you want to do. With that, you betrayed the people who gave you all the money that you have today. Aside from this, I must say that, although on paper you may look good, we will all remember that you won the biggest fights of your carreer by cherry picking your opponents and by forcing them to sign contracts, with clauses that would have made it almost impossible for them to compete against you on a level ground.
