Kindwurm is a pun based on the mythical creature known as the Lindwurm, wich is basically a serpentine dragon with short legs, there is also the Wurm or Wyrm wich is a bigger Lindwurm without limbs (Wurm is also the german name for Worm wich makes this reference not that obvious)

UHaFnir is not hard to pronounce. Just as it's written. U-haf-nir Also nice to mention: It's a combination of UHF and Fafnir. Fafnir being the dwarf turned into a dragon from the old germanic tale of Siegfried (or Sigurd farther to the North) and the saga of the Nibelungen.

Kindwurm doesn't mean a normal worm. It's a wyrm which is a dragon. In German there is also a Lindwurm which sounds the same and is a dragon with no legs or wings.

Kindwurm is actually a play on words. As you pointed out there is Kind = Child and Wurm = Worm, but the wurm part has actually nothing to do with the naming. As it's put together form Kind = Child and Lindwurm = Wyvern. Replace the L with a K and you get Kindwurm, which basically plays on the meaning of Child Wyvern.

Aaaah both. I always catch myself using either of them. When I speak German only the English come to mind, when I speak English only the German come to mind 😂
