Some part of me flat out believes Oda forgot about Smoker.

I wonder if Akainu will almost get a partial redemption but then will be killed by Green Bull impaling him in the back (reminiscent of Ace in a way) for "betraying" the WG (or protecting Hibari when and if Sword defects from the WG.) I could see Green Bull being devastated by Akainu's "betrayal" and even telling him that "those who turn their back on the world government bring shame to their families" or the "gods" or some such line reminiscent of Akainu during Marine Ford. 18:15 the idea works especially well for Aramaki, considering that when we first met him in silhouette-form after the timeskip, he specifically mentioned that he hadn’t eaten in 2 years… it would make sense if he simply stopped needing to eat as soon as he ate his DF and became a plant-man, living off of sunlight alone. It’s also perfectly possible that Aramaki got his DF when he joined up, while Fujitora had his for far longer. EDIT: I’m told he hadn’t eaten in 3 years, not 2.

Technically we do have a character named after a rat in the Marines. His name is Nezumi which literally means rat in Japanese and he appeared all the way back in the Arlong Park arc although it's very unlikely that he will become an Admiral.

Another idea is the 4 new leaders of the marines become the 4 eastern mythological beasts Koby means tortoise Phoenix..... Dragon The last being a white tiger maybe as smoker (or jjst still fujitora who is tiger right now). And then it's 1 leader for each region of the all blue

The sequel to One Piece...Boruffy. It will be about Luffy's son who wants to be the first mate of the next pirate King (or Pirate Queen in this case) who will be Koby's and Hibari's daughter and Boruffy's love interest.

The only thing that makes me think that Coby could be fleet admiral at the end is the fact that Oda made Momo and Carrot rulers despite others being around to carry the mantle. Plus with all these important princesses with old dads makes me think that Oda really wants to hammer in the point that the next generation must lead the way into the future.

I just have a feeling that Akainu will kill greenbull like near the end, because greenbull thinks the celestial dragons are gods and we've see Akainu talking back to the gorosei, so they might be thinking they need someone who they know will lesson to them without question so they try to get read of Akainu but fall.

That video game analogy at the beginning was me with Legend of Dragoon. Took me like 8 playthroughs before I finally did all the optional bosses and secret content.

Dragon being Kuroryu is the best option for me. He would be a Vice Admiral like Garp and an advisor like Tesnei.

Inaddition to refusing the position, Garp probably also refused the Admiral like name. Which could have been KuroInu.

This is just a random theory I was having fun with but I think vivi will accidentally find the straw hat grand fleet and become a stand in captain for the grand fleet until they meet up with the crew. I also like to think the grand fleet have been trying to keep up with the straw hats to help them but keep showing up as they leave. It be a fun cover story to see them go to all the islands the straw hats were on and running into vivi

I picture Dragon taking Kong’s position as commander in chief while also probably puting together a cabinet that take the responsibilities of the Gorosei, though in a more moral manner

Color-wise, it has to be orange; it's the only secondary color that hasn't been used for an admiral.

Sengoku's admiral title could have been buddha related but he also has a pet goat which is similar to a sheep so maybe he was Golden Goat or Kinyagi

One experience of that which just happened to me was in Skyrim. I never paid the skill trees much mind, but I was grinding the restoration skill to get the necromage perk, starred at it for a while, before realizing the blue nebula in the background, as well as the red and green ones, were the Mage, Warrior, and Thief class types. I already knew the skills were categorized as such, but it to until now, when I saw the face in the blue blob, to notice that they were more than just indistinct masses of color.

Technically, the color parts of the titles can vary from just the generic red, blue, green, etc colors because Fujitora doesn’t translate directly to ‘Purple Tiger’ but rather ‘Wisteria Tiger’ because Oda thought it sounded better. So even though Oda chose to only indirectly reference the color purple for the epithet of Fujitora, he still established that the naming convention for admiral epithets only need to symbolize a color with an animal rather than directly state a generic color. So there very well could be epithets that can vary from exclusively using orange or white so long as they somewhat vary from colors Oda has already used.

I wanted to watch the video sped up coz I don't have time and I clicked at 1.75x speed exactly when Tekking said "Alright" and sped up as well so I just felt like I went to light speed and wanted to share with everyone xD

I also love the Talismans from Jackie Chan Adventures, I have all of them too, as well as all nine Lantern Rings, cuz I an also a huge Lantern fan. Also, if you are into the Chinese Zodiac I recommend reading the manga, Urami Koi, Koi, Urami Koi. It focuses on the Chinese Zodiacs as well. It's actually pretty good.

This video, combined with your previous video on Hibari's father possibly being Akainu, causes me to think a bit about Koby's storyline. As you say, I think it is pretty reasonable to expect Koby to become Admiral or even Fleet Admiral eos. In addition, I would like to predict that Koby will get Kuzan's fruit (yes my favourite admiral and the coolest dude in the world will have to die at some point). With Aokiji having been Garp's protege at one time and Koby being the current protege as well as the poster boy for the next generation of marines (sorry Prince Grus) the Garp/Kuzan/Koby storyline will come full-circle. Koby, having the chill chill fruit and being equal colleagues with Akainu will counterbalance Akainu's style of justice and also bring the Akainu/Aokiji storyline full-circle. Koby potentially being with Hibari in the future will just be icing on the cake to the story and reinforce the idea that personal relationships make everything more complicated (for marines and for pirates). How will Kuzan die? I don't want to think about it :(.

For the Chinese zodiac question at the end, my favorite would be the goat/sheep, as that's what mine is. On a related note, I would love if Smoker was named Whitesnake as I love the band and JJBA, but I could also maybe see Smoker as the sheep/goat of the zodiac as smoke appears fluffy like a sheep's wool.

i do believe the marines keep some fruits in storage to later assign to certain outstanding members, with the zodiac codenames all having an acompanying fruit Just my speculation, Oda might elaborate but nothing confirmed. For the Sheep Zodiac just a thought, I know Sengoku was known as the buddah but what if since he has a goat and its kinda in the ball park of a sheep when he was an Admiral he was the sheep codename or maybe oda interchanged it to goat like he did with phesant and rooster.

Before Momonosuke, I thought the previous admirals (dog, monkey, pheasant) would remain and be surpassed by Koby because of this pink hair that could link him to the Momotarou story. Now however, I think Koby could be the rat that won the race of the twelve zodiac. His era might not come immediately at the end of One Piece like you said but in 20 or 30 years, he could be. Tying back to Momotarou story, alongside the new fleet admiral Koby there could be a new generation of dog monkey pheasant trio. One of them could be Kujaku, the peacock. She might not be the strongest but she could be the great teacher(mommy) for young new marines like Z was an admiral and a great teacher. Just my two cents tho. What do you guys think?

Love the Talismans from Jackie Chan Adventures (Monkey is my favorite) & out of the characters from Fruits Basket may favorite is Shigure (aka the Dog), but as for the future Admirals I think that Koby will have the codename with the 13th Chinese Zodiac animal of the Cat (as a reference of him use to being a scaredy-cat) with his codename being Aoneko (blue cat) then Smoker replacing the dog with the codename Shiroinu (white dog) - As for the Epilogue I see the last few chapters being placed 10 years in the future

I think Sengoku’s admiral codename was White Goat or Shiroyagi. If you look at the jacket cuffs of all the admirals, they have cuffs the same color as the color in their codename. Aokiji’s cuffs were blue, Akainu’s cuffs were red, Kizaru’s cuffs were yellow, etc. When he is promoted to fleet admiral, Sakazuki is still seen wearing the coat with the red cuffs. This establishes that an admiral doesn’t necessarily get a new coat when promoted. Sengoku wears a coat with white cuffs, not the maroon that lower-ranked officers wear. He also has that pet goat. I think the series will end with the Fleet Admiral being Smoker and then the Admirals being Koby, Tashigi, and someone else. I don't know who yet. I'm sorry Tekking but Luffy is dying at the end of One Piece. Oda has already set it up with Hiriluk's "A man dies when he's forgotten" speech and the series starts with the physical death of Roger. Not to mention that Oda has established that Luffy's gears are using up his life force and that Luffy has lost life force to Magellan's venom.

My head cannon concerning smoker always was that hie promotions were held back either due to marine internal politics or due to him originally wishing for a posting in loguetown, a position in the east blue, insignificant other than for its historic meaning being the place of the birth and death of Roger.

I doubt that Kong is not going to be around very long ...So I'm wondering who would hold that position 🤔

Smoker could also potentially be the sheep/ram. White ram, the smoke would be its fluffy coat. Khalifa could also be the sheep considering she used her devil fruit to somewhat simulate the look of a sheep when she first fought Nami

Sakazuki is better than Kaido only when it comes to the ability to survive. Sakazuki and all 3 admirals have outlived their shine. It would be better than most options, if some strong people inherit the names of a Golden Giant/"Buddha", Akainu, Aokiji and Kizaru after Egghead.
