The 21st century has seen the dramatic rise in economic and political power from Asia and European and American influence has dropped significantly. Many prominent observers have noted that by the end of the century, Asia will rule the world with some estimates predicting the year 2050.
In this podcast, we are joined by Murtaza Hussain, journalist at the Intercept, to discuss the claims that Asia, particularly China, will rule the world soon and identify the catalysts behind this rise.

6:08 your assessment regarding Europeanzation is more Like Britainization of the world, currently its American. Pax Britannica-> Pax Americana-> Pax TBD. We went from the British world system which was based around colonization. Which then other European countries tried to copy and were given the parts that Britain didn't want like France (The Sahel which is complete desert), Belgium which was gifted the Congo and Italy (Libya literally the poorest place in the world until 1950 and a part of Somalia which was given the troublesome part of Somalia) e.t.c. Then to the American Neo colonial system of the world, which you maybe familiar with. Now we are heading towards a new system of the world currently we are in the teething phase of the new world system. This world event will happen it will give Muslims/Asians an opportunity. As the British system was collapsing and getting replaced by the American system. Muslims/Asians had a chance to capitalize but failed. Now there is that chance again. Just my humble opinion. Also Murtaza needs to reassess his view on climate change its not as simplistic as his view cold=colder, hot=hotter. Your view that rainfall and climate patterns are chaining in Saudi Arabia are right. There is increased rainfall in Saudi Arabia. Cities on the coastal plains like Jeddah are facing rainwater storms and floods with much more frequency. But Saudi Arabia is a huge country so there is a difference in climate effects There is an eschatological narrative that supports this view also.
