I understand this might be a cool product but i just can't imagine a world where we use this anywhere outside the house.

when we visit a museum you hold an ear piece to revive the audio walkthrough. Imagine you can have a AR experience while enjoying your tour of the museum.

Only thing I wish this had was an hdmi input, maybe in the same unit as the battery pack. This way I can use it for the ps5 or a 4k bluray player. As it is it depends on streaming services for media consumption.

7 to ten years from now  Vision will be as common as an  Watch.

I guess it's alright, but what is any different about this compared to other VR headsets? Why aren't concerts and museums selling VR tickets already? What makes this more than 10x the cost of the Oculus Quest 2? The Quest 2 also has cameras that allow you to see the room around you and do not require a PC to tether to. It also only costs $300.

other VR makers can sell tickets but Apple gains more interests than any other brands. Apple products are well thought out which is why Vision Pro has pass thru feature no other VR maker does. that is just one example of their 2nd level thinking on the product.

This does not eliminate the costs of TVs. A TV of a similar price will have far better image quality, less strain on your eyes, and be more comfortable on your neck

perhaps someone doesn't want a TV in their bedroom or office, the Vision Pro allows for immersive entertainment experience in any room of the house.

If they stick with a ridiculous greedy over priced way of doing things with this it's absolutely going nowhere.

Every time a company makes a product you can’t afford, it’s not necessarily just because they are greedy. You get professional VR headsets already exist at double the price point of the Vision Pro, right? The MS Holo Lens base price is $3,500 and it goes up from there for an inferior product. $3,500 is a lot if you live in moms basement and exist off ramen noodles, hell it’s a lot for anyone, but let’s not pretend a full upgrade laptop doesn’t cost $7,000. You can buy one Display Pro XDR for double the price and there is no computer attached!
