The 185 comment is an inside joke to a back and forth they had on the Ultimate Fighter where Chandler was like hell I'd fight you at 185 the weight class doesn't matter. So Conor is just lightly trolling him I think. If he really is serious about 185 then yeah he is going for the unfair advantage. He knows he is a shell of the man he once was so he's trying to stack the deck.

Have the UFC actually stalled anything? Connor always had to sit six months after entering the testing pool, also they had him matched up with Chandler before he even entered the pool. If anything it is Connor who has been slowing the process down. Finally there is zero percent chance it happens at 185, the UFC is not booking a completely meaningless matchup.

Conor needs to fight people of his era or be given some tune up fights. I think he realises his inactivity has set him back, but the ufc just want to cash in on him by sending him in with in form killer's. Personally i think Conor vs Ferguson or Nate is the match up to make.

I don't want to see him face anyone from the top 10, but to watch him fight others whose best days are behind them, I have no problem with. Tbh I think, in his own way, Conor is perhaps just as done as Tony. He's just stayed inactive, so he doesn't have to face up to the truth.

Agree, the game is far better when Conor is in it and competing. It was hard to see him lose to Dustin when just a couple years before he knocked Dustin out inside a minute. If the hard working and zen Conor comes back, would be amazing. When he beat Aldo and Alvarez he was super relaxed and not all amped up. Angry Conor is no good. Will be nice to see that in walkout one more time, though.

I’m not sure you can say this is Conor’s best fighting style matchup to be honest Brian. Chandler is primarily a wrestler. We’ve seen Conor against wrestler and it’s not been his best performance. Chandler I agree is a brawler too which helps with Conor’s ability to pick people apart and land the left but I think you’re overlooking chandlers wrestling background and therefore advantage.

I've actually called out geordie before for basically become a troll ( whilst I was too him), however he's spot on here about mcgregor & I agree 100% with everything he says.👍

I don’t see the point of him fighting Mike at 185, even if he wins, what’s the next move, he’s not gonna fight Strickland

As a fan, (Of Conor not you Brian you stress my brain out) I don’t blame him for taking stuff for the leg break. If he didn’t we’d all have stopped speaking Mcgregor years ago

I really can’t see McGregor making a return to the UFC this year and I think if he does he’s going to have to fight somebody washed or very inactive to stand a chance.

Chandler is washed and inactive, hasn't fought in over a year and 1-3 in last 4, with his only win in those 4 being against a washed Ferguson that dropped him.

@@Twatman_21 That’s a fair point although I still think he beats McGregor , I think McGregor gasses out fast this fight , he’s been living the Hollywood lifestyle the last few years after a major injury also and his cardio was never great before.

I disagree with the last part about it being more fun. There’s more content sure but hanging on to them just holds the sport back. Sure big them up as historical figures however you just stop other stars being made talking about like they’re some great fight entertainer now.

I don’t see how he could be 180 with his body type and frame. He would have to do like 0 cardio and dirty bulk too. He got bigger but not that big. I love Conor but it’s camera angles and tight shirts to look bigger. I know cause I do the same illusions lmao.
