I'd like to see some love to stealth mechanics, where stealth can actually be a viable option to complete missions (this means the removal of AI being able to beam you through thick bushes/trees). Also silencers for ARs and Snipers would be amazing.

Land Vehicles, Prone, Respawning Changes (Sleeping Bags, etc) and a Base Rework are being worked on currently. Plus more. Cannibals I’m pretty sure, are already in the game. They are the normal civilian looking AI at the camps. Here are some of my ideas for additions and changes to the game: - Improved Gameplay Loop/Gear Sink with the Addition of Mk.2 Weapon Components - When you choose a spawn location it automatically puts you 800m from your Death, besides when using base respawn. - Improved Base Building/Base Systems (in progress) - 75 to 100 Player Servers - especially now that the map has expanded so much - Add Swapping of items in inventory with items in your pockets (hotbar), just like you can with guns - Fix Cargo Drops so they aren't just Suicide Farmed by making the Crate drop slower with big smoke seen from further away and the symbol shows on map only after crate touches the ground - Rename “Redeployment” to “Safezone Perimeter” - The word Redeployment confuses players on what it does - Also the Redeployment (Safezone Perimeter) Timer should work like the current Suicide Timer does. Where it doesn’t reset every time you go to the menu screen. Then make it so that the Suicide Timer does reset every time you bring up the menu, since that shouldn’t be a main gameplay mechanic - Make the leave server time be 60 to 90 seconds and make this be the same time you stay on server when you push quit game or alt f4. Currently alt f4 is shorter time than normal - this will help with Combat Logging - If you add another Safezone to the southwest, make safezone storages shared/connected storage or else too much safezone storage will be available….OR another option would be to move the current south safezone to a more south west location - Code Locked Doors should only be allowed to be opened by registered base members (unraidable alt base prevention) - Only Raid Token Activator is shown the Raid Circle (with further heard C4 Explosions) - currently players that activate a raid don’t go to the raid and others don’t raid because everyone can see the raid circle, it is too big a risk of losing a lot of your gear to all the other players trying to raid and you may not get anything from the raid - Fixes or preventions to abused game mechanics in general: (Safezone Shield Abuse, Roofcampers being practically unraidable, Unraidable bases built into Rocks, Combat Logging, etc) - One Possible Fix: Hostile Player System: If you are Hostile you can be killed in Safezone and if you are Hostile you can not log out of the server until your Hostile Status is gone. Helps prevent Safezone Edge/Shield Abuse and Combat Logging

I started playing this about 2 weeks ago as a change of pace from the regular shooters that I seem to be stuck playing. One of the biggest issues I have are the super lethal bots that can kill you from insane distances. The idea of safe zones sounds good, but in practice they are terrible. I've been killed by other super geared up players just waiting at the edge of the safe zone to bump you off and take your stuff.

Just bought this game a week ago and it's brilliant. Definitely needs some QoL updates and land vehicles but I can always be patient with smaller indie dev teams. Means this game has passion behind it.

Great honest review even with the slow development I hear a lot of rants about vehicles and private mod tools but believe one day this game will be what it's intended to be just through time. Keep up the great content blue. Thumbnail looks epic 👌

Been following dev on Deadside since it's first release. Finally decided it was time to support and get a copy. Can't beat $8 on summer sale. BF 2042 is $6 and I still can't bring myself to buy it lol. Much rather support a small dev team thats proven to care about their game.

dude I've got to ask how do you recored this game? when ever I stream it or recored it. It gets really blurry in the wooden areas and I'm just lost how to fix it. I feel like Ive tried everything other than using a capture card.

I just bought the game on the sale about a week ago, so I purchased the supporter pack and will be sitting in a disused 4x4 making car noises in my off time from trying to do missions. this game is fun but also has truly good possibilities for the future. Once bad pixel irons out the creases I'm sure this game will make a great edge for competition in the survival gaming market, that great a mark that a drill sergeant would be welling up.

I’ve had Deadside on my steam since probably may 2020. It very much used to force you to run for 15 minutes before you even get close to a mission. Standard AI would one tap you from 400+m out. Helicopters were impossible to do if you were anywhere in the open within 600m of it. The map used to be just the NSZ and SSZ and empty fields in between and the bunkers to the east ( which were always impossible). The game has taken a great path and like you said, it’s taken 4 year to go from that to what it is now which is a MAJOR improvement. And that’s why I don’t understand the hate, great things take time. Literally just adding vehicles would make Deadside perfect and that’s saying something. Besides this isn’t the only game with no prone animation. RON has no prone or run and that’s a fantastic game and honestly one feature to me, doesn’t make or break a game. I’ll keep watching and currently maining Deadside while Tarkov figures itself out and stalker takes its time to release.

Deadside has to really put a lot more effort into their character movement and weapon handling. Vaulting needs polish. Improving optics and scopes.. to make target acquisition a lot better. Basically every person who plays Deadside knows how difficult it is to just aim at someone in comparison to other shooters. Something is wrong. And the game is basically all about shooting things. So getting that down should be just as important, if not more important than content.

It is has a nice niche open world sandbox with PvE against people bots instead of zombies or other fantasy entities

They def. need to make it so AI can't see you through everything. And make it so you can hide in bushes from AI. especially if they add prone, something that indicates if your hidden from AI.

hoping we get some kind of military vehicle. Like a Tigr or BRDM-2 (which is amphibious). That would fit really well

I think the wolves were done too sloppy wih repetitive animations. I don't think they should instantly spawn chasing you, and also we should be able to outrun or match their speed when we have the bonus from full rations. All of the other changes I liked.

One feature I would love is magazines and magazine loading.

Needs a lot more crafting items imo, movement is horrible, the world feels dead even on populated servers. I played for the first time yesterday and just absolutely wiped all the AI, destroyed every person I came across and just felt like there was no challenge or "endgame content"

Can they make enemy npc act more smart and natural in combat like the division 2 did, Npc try to cover, sneak carefully, not just open their chest to take a bullet. What do you think?

Dude I just got this game and I usually play solo and I finished a hard mission solo without dying using a lame 2x hunting scopeand was able too loot a 4.5 x scope I ended up teaming up with the admin and wiped the new city I took this crazy shot it was far and a mean head shot he goes holy shit that was a nice shot I was like when your use too using the shit hunting scope this scope makes shots like that easy

There is no future until they add cars or some other type of transport to traverse the map.

The developers really dropped the ball on focusing on things that would grab attention. I mean they spent like a month on development so you could shoot animals out of the sky BEFORE they even started working on vehicles. Very out of touch.. The game has potential but the dev's need to focus on what the game NEEDS. The game NEEDS vehicles, it does not need ducks to shoot out of the sky for food that doesn't really matter in the game anyways. I've owned this game for a LONG time and the development has come a long ways, but it still has a very long ways to go.

The thing that kills the game for me is the server browser, and custom servers. I totally get this is how it is with this type of game, but when the game is so different for so many people, and players are split so much, it just makes the game lack an identity for me.

This game suffers from the same problems other games suffer from… not enough players… giant maps… with few players on the servers, if there were around 100 player servers, it would really help the game out.

Maybe bicycles or ATVs but I don't think full out cars would be a good idea. The map is large but not large enough to require cars and sort of ruin the survival aspect of this game. I mean I think one of the beauty of this game is to just explore intimately. Oh, and before they expand the map further, they need to populate the existing map more...especially Kamensk.

im not convinced this game is going anywhere. Graphics wise? So many better choices available. Game loop ? So many better choices available. What does this game actually offer over the other games of the same genre? literally nothing.

For me I’ve decided its best to take a break from a game which i LOVE very much. It saddens me to say this, heartbreaking; no content thats been added recently expands the core gameplay loop. I would play this game religiously everyday for almost two years now. Im just tired of getting pve elements and broken promises. Im fed up.

I have thousands of hours in DayZ, and this looks niiiiiice. cant wait to see what kind of survival stuff they add, thats my favourite part of DayZ

I've played abt 120hrs of Deadside both pvp n pve. Wonderful game with the worst pvp community and systems i have ever seen. Dev needs to work on some of the raid systems, community moderation, better anti cheat etc. I know its a small dev team but until these systems are actively focused on, people wont look at this game or wont come back. I am a very patient man, but pvp gave me horrible experiences here so i am probably never coming back. Good thing the new Eft wipe is here. Hope this game gets better, extreme potential.

Map is too big not to have ground vehicles. Kills the game people go play other games that provide the same experience, but better gamers dont come back . No one asked for survival elements. All we want are ground vehicles. Why increase the map size so we can walk more walking simulator.

I get it for ground vehicules, and I'm no game dev, but I can't imagine it would take more than like a week to create and implement a damn prone to the game, even for a small team...

I haven't played this since they took the ability to buy food and drink away. The survival aspect was my least favorite part and I just have no desire to play it now. I wish it wasn't so.

I wonder what deadside is doing that Scum hasn't already. Just don't have a good enough reason to look at this game yet.

All these added survival mechanics mean nothing when you can just suicide spawn across the map and get all your food and water back. Hopefully this game just dies. Just play dayz it's 1 thousand times better

I’m sorry to say, but development is just way. too. slow. The game is so dull and uninspiring, and the graphics look 10 years old. With new engines like Unreal 5 out, new games will only make this one look even more archaic. I want to LOVE this game, but I have a hard time imagining this game will find some soul, even in the next 5 years. It’s taking too long and it already looks like a PS3 title. Oh, and before I forget…. WHY HAS THE AI NOT BEEN IMPROVED YET?! The enemy IA is just so horribly bad. It NEEDS to be fixed. I just hate the AI. This needs to be #1 priority.
