TEDx Talks

2 жыл бұрын

Financial maverick Anita Knotts set herself apart in a male-dominated financial industry by staying true to herself.
With women anticipated to control more than $110 trillion in global wealth by the end of 2025, Anita shares some bold ideas on how a more human approach to wealth management can transform the financial industry to better meet the needs of its future client and make this world better for us all. Anita Knotts is a highly accomplished senior executive with nearly 30 years of expertise in sales, marketing, and business development in the competitive wealth management market. After spending the first part of her career as a successful investment advisor followed by years of leadership, Anita is now embarking on the next phase of her career as an entrepreneur.
Anita has recently launched her new business Lotus Women’s Institute LLC. The mission of the organization is to attract, develop and advance women and people of color to choose financial services as a career path. She believes strongly that firms who implement initiatives to hire diverse teams - specifically for frontline roles - will have a competitive edge. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Well, she is actually stating that women are often very good choices for the field but are deterred by stereotypes. So this video is not about a versus but rather about improving the industry by expanding the hireing range and getting the most skilled people involved, isn't it? I'll take a stance against toxic feminism every day but you won't get anywhere by just playing down everything that may even slightly seem that way. At least make a point about the stuff you're criticising instead of just blasting something out that makes it seem like you've only read the title.

They claim to have done everything all on their own, with no help purely through their own merit and questioning them is like defying God because they're so brilliant and how could they ever be wrong? Older generations were one person household so women had little day about money their husband earned more with 2 person or women led single household it is a good choice to include women in the conversation. Men have riskier habits money. She mentions having someone you can trust I'm sure we all would benefit from someone we can trust and can properly access the situation. Women and minorities being included in finances in all tax brackets would be beneficial to more people. People have less debt when they are educated about financial literacy. This is really not good news for women. This woman is talking about the world in which she made her way. Today, I can think of no area in the field of finance where I need a human being to help, advise, or serve me. I can do it all online. So can you. Think about that.
