Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among people aged 10-14 years old. One in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year. It takes people an average of 10 years from when symptoms start to receive an accurate diagnosis and care. So while most people wait until their mental health is suffering to start investing in it why not start now? What’s the worst that can happen? You start to feel better?
Lindsay is widely regarded as one of the trailblazers in modern mental health prevention and de-stigmatization work on TikTok. She is a licensed therapist, private practice owner, keynote speaker, podcast host, non-profit co-founder, and content creator.
She is not afraid to talk about her own mental health struggles and has empowered her community of over half a million to start putting their mental health first. Her work has been featured as a segment on The Today Show and in The New York Times, Vice News, Counseling Today, and more. We all have mental health, what are you doing to take care of yours? This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I have never been this interested in a TED talk. Lindsay is amazing and sounds pretty cool. I love how you talked about mental health and made it easy to follow along. I honestly think in America today we all need to focus on mental health for ourselves and those around us. Thank you, Lindsay!

This book has done wonders for managing stress and my physical health too. It explains the best way to breathe and ways to use breathing practises to improve physical and mental health. A very useful book. It's called The Full Breath by James Francis

I love the simplicity of Lindsay's advice, she nailed it with the toothbrushing example...better done daily than at the perfect time!
