Nanobots that patrol our bodies, killer immune cells hunting and destroying cancer cells, biological scissors that cut out defective genes: these are just some of the technologies that Cambridge University researchers are developing and which are set to revolutionise medicine in the future. To tie-in with the recent launch of the Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences, researchers discuss some of the most exciting developments in medical research and set out their vision for the next 50 years.

Imagine how much progress we would had on medical sector with all those funds that has been given to "defense" industry...

These medical treatment innovations are truly magnificent! But the ethical dimension of the issue is how many citizens will be able to have access to these lifesaving treatments? If such a therapy costs 3.000.000 dollars and only a few rich people can afford it, all these medical treatments will be of no use for the benefit of humanity. Scientists have the ethical obligation to humanity, not only to develop new treatment but first and foremost to make it accessible to every citizen regardless of wealth and social status.

This is really really interested. I always think about the future because I know 10 years from now things will be different. We must adapt to change and push out thinking capabilities. I think it is important to teach the upcoming generations to think outside the box.

Science and nanotechnology should be used to cleanse stuck microscopic asbestos fibers from the inner human body this would prevent asbestos related cancers. Asbestos are solid, dead and stationary objects thus easy for nanorobots to latch onto and remove or destroy from the inner human body. Their's lots of asbestos around.

The fact that he said we working with regulators 7:30 - 7:35 that for me is kinda saying we want to come up with solutuion without pissing off capitalists and they loose their money because people no longer get sick to keep buying medication.
