Bravo to these guys for actually EXPLAINING what Vocaloid is for people who do not know, going to a concert IN PERSON to see the phenomenon for themselves, and for showing some songs other than freaking World is Mine for once. But most of all, bravo to them for NOT making the fanbase look like a bunch of mindless geeks and actually respecting the crowd's passion and energy.

I really like how these guys were amazed by her, and really liked her, unlike other news channels. In the video they even played more than one song (World is Mine) and showed different parts of the concert!

A word about the 57M¥ figure on Amazon: That's a bit ridiculous of an amount since it's roughly the price of 3800 Hatsune Miku Software. But it was just one month after the official release of the software (2007-08-31) and a never seen sales figure for a professional music program. I couldn't believe they admire Miku that much. Normally when I see TV program hosts, they usually don't care much or just show a little impression like seeing something strange. May be because these two are the only hosts who attended Miku concerts. Very nice video, thank you for sharing. :D

This segment goes to show, if you have an open mind and are willing to just give it a chance and have fun, these concerts are the coolest concerts on the face of the Earth; from the sea of glowsticks of the audience to the amazing special effects and, of course, Miku herself is an angel.

i think its a great report on miku and i like the fact that they include that she's a software instead of a totally weird 3d "fake" character, but i kinda wished that they promoted the original songwriters/other vocaloids a bit more. other than that, WHOO! GO VOCALOIDS!!

i a;ways get a bit mad when ppl like this go to her concerts and dont know many of her songs neither really is a big FAN of her BUT by how they loved her i will accept u BOTH into our fanbase xDD

before I was in 7th grade I started hearing vocaloid music and I love it I would edit there pictures and dance after that kpop came and I love both South Korea and Tokyo

Oh thank God. At last a program which mentioned the truth. The fact that her voice was created from samples of real singers. (for all those idiots out there crying "fake fake!") All those other shows/news programs fail to mention this very important fact.

Great work! I have to commend these guys for approaching the whole Vocaloid phenomenon with an open mind, and obviously having done their research - both of which seem to be depressingly rare amongst other reporters. Most of the other reports covering Vocaloid/Miku have been anywhere from somewhat ill-informed, to downright condescending. I think it also shows the importance of actually attending one of the concerts in person, rather than just watching five minutes of footage on KZfaq.

I'm pretty sure it's a 2-D projection though? Because if it was 3-D it would be a hologram right? And she does disappear if you are too far off to the sides. I like how these guys reacted nicely, albeit a little too cheesy, but it's better than how some of the outspoken classmates from my music class reacted right away, with comments like "creepy" and "uncanny valley". :( I was one of two people who knew of vocaloid and the only fan (the other girl turned down the opportunity to go to a concert for free because she wasn't into it and didn't want to fly to Japan), girl I woulda been all on that, that's a dream come true lol.

Seems like they are forcing themselves. If you can't even understand it, what are the chances of you appreciating it? It must be a novelty to them; exaggerated for the news. Although as a fan myself I appreciate the effort, this goes for those two news reporters as much as the bigots in the comment section.
