What you are not seeing here is him straight up mercing defensive linemen as a run blocker. Arguably the best run blocking TE in the history of football. Without question the most balanced between receiving/blocking and #2 isn't close.

It’s amazing he went as far down the draft as he did! I loved watching him, Edelman and Brady for so many great years in New England! I met him a couple times and he is just as cool as you would think he would be!! Gronk best TE to ever play the game!!!

I remember one game when UW played them down there in Tucson. Gronk was running wild all over the place. I remember thinking who the hell is this guy, kinda half way through the game.

His season with Nick Foles really showcased his talent. This was fun but it had a bunch of low risk waggles and hitches. With Foles he was used like a slot receiver with long skinny posts. Safeties never had a chance. Since day one he was a man among boys.

Gronk was HUGE in size even in comparison to DEs and LBs. even as a down TE running a skinny post for 10 yards Safeties tried to undercut him or LB tried to climb up and drag him down…no chance. It was like a 150 rated Madden player.
